It is curious. He's not talking and they didn't raise a ruckus back in the day when it happened. Both could be lying (meaning that one woman's story is true and the rest are just seeking attention).

There's a joke in here somewhere.

This is an interesting predicament. The next step would be for her to be displayed publically so that people don't forget. If he raped her, then they will know the face of this victim. If he lied, then no one should ever forget her face forever.

I'm hoping that both of them figure out what they want and find the people that will make them happy.

I hope that he gets justice.

Who can say? That said, I can understand the view about being "made gay". If you're lonely enough, than sucking a dick (man or woman) to get some level of connection or to join a movement (like being gay is nowadays) is the easiest thing to do.

He should go on the offensive. It looks like one side is sort of organized and want some conflict. The problem is that the other side isn't forceful enough defending themselves.

I dunno. I hope that her life is destroyed as equally as the people who she is making a claim against.

True, but (hopefully) men are getting smarter at this.

I'd go further and say that the experience that they've outlines is not EVERY woman's experience. Some woman have a shit time. Some do not. However, my impression is that feminists say that all woman have a shit time.

Ask the Christians or anyone who follows an organized religion. I think that it makes them a part of who their are. It's part of their identity. Defective as it might be.

There is some misogyny around many RP blogs. There is some misandry around many feminist blogs (some more than others). There is some whining white knights around MRA blogs. However, it doesn't mean that the message of the point of view isn't being perverted by the writer of the blog.

I'm not from Quebec, but I've seen it each time that I go out there or I meet someone from Quebec over here. :)

You can Google Bus Driver uppercut. That was good for lols. There are lots on Youtube like that one.

I like this approach. You can also Google Gordon Ramsey slap. He dealt with that one in the same way you describe #1.

Why no protest it? Should black americans have taken a back seat when they were portrayed poorly on TV?

One option is to have alternative avenues for entertainment that don't glorify that type of violence OR show an equal amount of violence from the other side.

True. In this environment, the "weaker sex" uses their weakness when it's to their advantage.

His post was about how he chased woman. He said that he's done with it. Your response appeared to be pushing him back to chase women (hence the counter response). It's all a waste.

I dunno. It depends on how you look at it. If you're dating a girl, you can ask her if she religiously follows Cosmo. Yes? Drop her like it's hot.

It depends on how you look at it. A mate of mine had this happen to him. Two punches later that guy wished that he didn't do that...and that he had a good dentist.

Why is this a surprise? Sure, "the general public" says that their are egalitarian, but we know that it isn't the case.

Because the general consensus is that the "general public" don't give a shit about men. The goods news is that "men" don't generally give a shit about Cosmo either.

I think that the problem is that you have an internal rule to not hit a woman. This provides you with two possible options. 1a) Set up a video for a future confrontation. Use this as video evidence as part of the arrest. 1b) In conjunction with 1a, determine what is an acceptable level of retribution. For example, if she comes at your with a knife, kick her knee, watch her go down, and claim self defense. This presents a moral dilemma because some will tell you that this is unacceptable. You hav…

The unintended consequence of this article is that it makes me care less about woman's issues because I find that it doesn't promote both equally.

The accused often gets their name posted in the papers. I figured that fair is fair. Although YOU are fair and not keen with the court of public opinion, I don't think that the rest of the populace feels the same. Besides, those who have been falsely accused want blood for those who commit the same crime.

Kick the teeth in? You guys are too nice. My friend was in traction for a month when he went on a drunken binge attack like that.

She couldn't walk away? She felt the need to jump over the heads of a few people and attack that person? What happened to being the better person? Someone should have beat her ass.

That's good stuff. Unfortunately, that trail of logic is why I'm not that concerned about DV anymore.

I go with the info that is presented. I don't have any other source. Thus, I go back to the idea that you hit back if you are hit.

You're right. He did. So did she. He should have hit back equally to keep things fair and balanced.

Personally, I wouldn't let her into the house for a few years...if that. I also wouldn't let the kids around a violent person like that...ever.

If you don't, then consider the potential consequences. If people don't seem some semblance of "fairness" done, then they might take it into their own hands. When this occurs, it usually isn't very fair anymore.

If people are just going for the sex, I think it would be better if they looked at the back of the wantads or craigslist or hookers R us or something.

The lesson of the day is..."don't EVER get married"...the odds are against you.
