Honestly, I’m willing to bet dude doesn’t even know about her first marriage. She probably lied about it

Possibly, but there is also a lot of cluster b personality traits in there. BPD and/or narcissistic

Man, all this and a bag of chips as we used to say back in my day. That last paragraph especially. I went through all 4 of those emotions yesterday and feel like I’m already in acceptance phase. My only worry is her attempt to move in a year or so with my youngest, which will only happen over my dead body. Our kids need stability and she’s not the one to provide that.

No alimony or child support but yeah, that would be a bonus. She makes a little more money than I do, but will make less if she quits and becomes an Army wife full time.

Yeah, I was 26 and stupid. She was crazy hot and lovebombed the shit out of me. I’m older and wiser, can recognize it for what it was now.

I mean I asked if they were engaged already, but she has the ability to bait me into questions like that. She did “as the relationship progresses I want to keep you updated” and I asked what that meant. She clarified and I laughed.

You’re absolutely right. I have this huge problem with her in that I cannot stop from getting pulled into conversations. It’s probably because she was literally my only friend for a dozen or so years as I had to pull away from everyone else to make her happy.

Yeah, how do you grey rock a “co-parent”? I put that in quotes because up until this month it was just me parenting.

Yeah, she is dragging our kids through this shitshow and there is nothing I can do about it. 50/50 split custody. Luckily the two oldest are already teenagers and almost out of the house.

The poor guy. The guy is in for a world of shit. Even the few things she told me on the phone, telling him to get out of the Army because he’s already on 80% disability or something. It’s just sad….for him.

Wants you on the shelf and pining for her in case she wants you back. Or even if she’s doesn’t want you back in the future, she just wants the attention.

Understandable. My ex was and still is, a smoke show. You have to focus on the negatives about them if you aren’t planning on getting back together. Like, yes my ex was hot and we had great physical chemistry, she’s a terrible mother and is hyper self-centered and lacks empathy.

I feel this post. This month I flew with my 3 kids to spend time with my family in the south. My kids (ages 16,14,6) had never actually seen the house I grew up in. They’d seen my parents and sibling, but it was on neutral ground that my ex deemed appropriate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
