TheFilthyPapist’s Guide to Managing Your Divorce - Part IIn my case, the court appointed a Guardian ad Litem. A GaL is basically the eyes and ears of the court...they interview you, your spouse, some witnesses and the kids themselves...then report back to the judge with a custody recommendation. What's the best call in your state and county with whatever judges you have? Dunno man...ask a lawyer. Part II goes into this more...I'll drop it as soon as I can. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 21/02/17 05:56 AM
TheFilthyPapist’s Guide to Managing Your Divorce - Part IThanks for pointing that out. I should have stressed that more. This isn't meant to be an opportunistic checklist...pay attention to your kids so you don't get screwed. It's meant to be a good foundation for life with your family, that will yield dividends should push come to shove. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 20/02/17 08:18 PM
TheFilthyPapist’s Guide to Managing Your Divorce - Part IIt is, but it's important to mention. I know plenty of guys who delegate a good chunk of this stuff to their wives and when the time comes for court, they end up looking like a secondary parent. | /r/MarriedRedPill | 20/02/17 08:10 PM

Requesting Advice: Wife texting other man, right on the line of okYour wife wants excitement and tingles and she's not getting them from you. Is a divorce going to fix that? I get it. You're butthurt because your woman is dictating the terms of the relationship and those terms are her dating another man with a veil of deniability. Well, two can tap that little dance. Go find a cute chick in marketing to grab lunch with...you're just mentoring her career right? Grab a coffee with the hottie from the gym...just discussing form and HIIT v. strength training. | 10 | Struggling... N-CountN=1 at marriage here as well and for the same reasons. My ex was a drunk and I spent a lot of time in Al-Anon. Went to meetings, read the books...did me a world of good. One of the things they tell you is not to make any drastic decisions for a year and the reason they tell you that is the program is about working on you. You focus on changing how you respond to living with an alcoholic and not how you try and change them. This is hard work and lots of people have a subconscious tendency to blow… | /r/askMRP | 31/01/17 12:23 AM
Got to cut my losses shortI managed to come out on top in my divorce, so I can share a few pointers. 1) Find the biggest, baddest lawyers in your area and interview with them. Once you talk to them, they can't take her case. Limit her options here. 2) Do every fucking thing your lawyer tells you. He will tell you to not show up at court some days. Listen to him. If something doesn't go your way, keep calm and talk to him outside of the courtroom. Don't get emotional in front of the judge. 3) Your lawyer has strategies on… | /r/MarriedRedPill | 30/01/17 03:13 PM
