I admit that was a terrible example, done out of getting emotional. I concede my argument. Talked enough with people to have confirmed that everyone hates the idea. As I thought they would. Better to keep the options contraceptives provide. And apply pressure to other areas were more people can come together on what should be changed or improved.

Don't need a therapist, just need more wisdom, i've gained some by talking and arguing with the people here. I concede my argument. More freedom is better, for people to be content, regardless of how I perceive it hurts men and women. No one should remove options, better that other things are brought to attention to fix the issues we see.

Stats like that are impossible to confirm to be completed true. But regardless, I conceded my argument. Choice and freedom are better. Regardless if I think it harms men and women. Everyone should have the freedom to do as they wish. Thanks for talking with me though. I learned from it.

If it's a one night stand, it's consensual, that's all well. The issue is the men a woman chooses to give sex to know they can get without ever providing more. So they continue using women for sex. And society loses a potential provider and a potentially good man for a good woman who will settle down. After talking with others and yourself, it seems apparent that attacking contraceptives is not an ideal way forward. Regardless of how I perceive contraceptives harm men or women, men and women sho…

A mix of all or possibly none. I've reached my limit with arguing. And will concede my position. It's very flawed and not well thought out. Contraceptives are needed, regardless of how men benefit from them or how I perceive that they may negatively effect women. Options are a good thing. The power to change men and women to better habits lies in another position. One I Don't see yet. Going to have to think about it more. Appreciate you talking with me. I found it enjoyable. I like different per…

Removing or limiting contraceptives. That was my base argument. But I concede my argument. Contraceptives lead to taking advantage of easy sex. Leading to less responsible men. But to deal with those men. The answer isn't in removing contraceptives. Sure we would have to be more responsible. But the cure is worse than the disease. So I've changed my opinion on it.

I agree with you. It's probably best to let the free market decide. Letting evolution decide. I've argued with a few people. My argument is flawed and not incredibly well thought out like I would've liked for it to be. Other things can be addressed to help fix the issues among the sexes. But not contraceptives. That makes women resent men more. If we try to take that away or limit it. So other solutions need to be found.

You have come too late for me to provide a counter. I've conceded my argument. After absorbing the perspective of some women providing me good points. I need to rethink solutions to the problem. Attacking contraceptives is the wrong lane to attack. It's better to have options. For sure. Thanks for stopping by though.

Well said. I have reached my limit for replying and arguing. I appreciate all your input, I will learn from it. What i've learned is that other solutions need to be found. Since the option for contraceptives is heavily defended. And one I would hate to see go myself. Men benefit from it, and so do women. I'm not some one way thinking person. I hope to learn who I talk with. I believe other places deserve more effort. I apologize if I appeared antagonistic. Not my intention. I will return, hopefu…

I'm at my limit of replying. I'm going to have to concede my argument. It's very flawed, but I don't regret posting it. We need to learn where we are wrong. And there are many things wrong with what I said. I appreciate you being respectful for the most part. I've been going back and forth with many people. I'm not sure who is who. I'll tackle other thoughts later. Hopefully, with better articulation. I appreciate the dialog.

I don't want a society like Islam. And yes, my logic isn't sound. I Don't want people to be sexless. I Don't regret posting this. I learned some things. But it is indeed the wrong bear to poke. There are better solutions that's can be found to this problem. That intrude less on the freedoms we all enjoy. Including myself.

That's a lot to touch on. I think the fatherlessness problem is both men and womens responsibility to address. That man is trash for abandoning his children. And the woman needs to take responsibility for her naively. But I Don't so much blame the woman as I do her parents, or lack of parents. I don't want women to be at the mercy of terrible men. I want good quality men that will treat women well and with respect and with love. What are the forces keeping men from being better. What's incentivi…

I don't want women to be unduly punished. But we do have to reap what we sow. Women make bad decisions, men are fucked up for running from responsibility. That's when i agree that child support should be thrown at the man, to take the financial burden from the mother. Everyone loses. And yes, people suffer. That's unfortunate. But that's better than not experiencing life at all. For the childrens sake. Before, things might have not worked, but perfect systems are impossible. Did it work enough n…

Even I'm lost in what I said. But if I said that, I said it wrong, or you interpreted it wrong. Men have the most control over their bodies. For sure. Women have enough power in being able to decline a man's advances. And rejection from a woman is power enough I believe, it makes men look at themselves twice. Men Don't have that same power as women are more valuable then men. So men may have power over there bodies. But women decide the quality of men. By accepting or denying them. I believe con…

Something is wrong with today's society. I'm just trying to figure out what it wrong. One of my ideas is men having easy sex is bad for them and women. Contraceptives. Make it easier for easy consequence free sex. Less consequences, less responsibility for men. Worse men. Worse time for women. I reasoning is flawed. Since it's more complicated than that. What I will say is that if a man could control his body to never get a woman pregnant, this would be the end of the human race. Our bodies have…

I agree with most of what you said. We agree that being at the mercy of men is bad. Women need good parents to know a bad man from a good one. The right knowledge and education would keep young girls from getting pregnant so young, needing to drop out. Without the pill, things were better, I believe, but better is not synonymous with good. Things might have been bad. But my argument is more to have things gotten over all better. It feels like things have gotten worse. The sexes were never at war…

No, I want my fellow humans to be wise enough not to get into the situation in the first place. Children who are abandoned is a tragedy. I do think being put up for adoption is better than death. If the parents Don't or can't step up to raise their child. But not that people use kids against each other. That's an issue with the quality of the people our society produces.

Men and women aren't meant to be the same. We are equals in a very different way. Becoming the same. Women gaining freedom over their bodies as men is power to much. That has imbalanced the way the sexes communicate and interact. Men and women getting more sex has been fun, not productive to the relationships Men have with women nor with women towards men. It's a personal issue we need to take up with everyone, a society of men having an easier time being able to run from responsibility is worse…

We agree. Men are hypocrites. I'd hope to change the minds of men. And if I can also help some women. But since I'm not a women. Talking about contraceptives is out of my expertise. I'd be more happy with an economic system that would allow a man to provide for 20 kids. So that every time they had sex, they could support another child. I have issues with capitalism. One, I'll pick later. Now, I agree, even i wouldn't be happy with sex 3 times for my married life. I'd like sex every day. But since I'm pro life. Let me rephrase, women have even more power over their bodies. Women before regular contraceptives still had power over their bodies. But had less sex due to the consequences of sex. Women have been rejecting men they don't like for much of modern society. Women need to pick men carefully, by making them wait, and letting the men prove themselves to be in that relationship with a woman.

Mothers being more so the victims of abuse is not good. That's where I would put the blame on fathers for raising their sons wrong or for not raising them at all. Men are capable of controlling themselves, but we all respond to incentives. Easy sex due to contraceptives is something I'd like responsible men to reject, but men rather have this system, since they can get out of responsibility more. In replace of the chastity belt, I believe there should be a society of shame to men who sleep aroun…

The pill, my ex told me, is bad for women since it messes up their period and hormones. Implants, also sure. As long as it doesn't hurt the woman in the long run, side effects and what not. Sexual education, sure, that all young men and women learn the need for condoms. And we should care that our fellow humans learn. We want our sons and daughters to learn good things, we want our future partners to hopefully be wiser and smarter. We share our opinions to hopefully speak reason into a "dumb" pe…

That's a tragedy for the women who die due to childbirth. If the birth would kill them, they should probably get that abortion. I wouldn't want my wife to die like that. But that's the exception. We might disagree on accidental pregnancy. That's a strange term. When we have sex. The risk of pregnancy is absolute. That risk should be taken by people willing to take it. I'm learning from my mistake, and I'm never giving sex again to a woman who I don't deeply trust and love. If we can't agree that…

I'm not trying to control others. And minding ones own business continues up until someone's business affects you. And I'm working on my behavior, I used to be insecure, needy, anxious, and immature. I hurt a lot of women with my shitty behavior, so I stopped having women friends. As to work on myself before I hurt someone else. When a woman gives easy sex to men, these men respect women less. Sex drive with who. As I believe men should only have sex only with their girlfriends and wives, women shouldn't give sex for one night stands. I'm not gonna shame a woman for having sex every day with their significant other. But I'll shame both men and Women for sex just for sex. That's unhealthy for them and the relationships between the sexes. Sex is more special than that.

Women I would hope would enjoy all the sex they desire with a good man, their boyfriend, and their husbands. I believe men and women should also think less of a man who sleeps with many women. It's wrong to use women like that, for one night stands and just for sex. I don't approve of men doing it or women doing it. I don't know what you mean by socially neutering women, but it sounds terrible. And if it hurts women, I don't support it. I believe contraceptives keep men from being held responsib…

The dating market and the slave trade are two very different things. Women before the pill and normalized contraceptives always had power over their bodies. They chose the men they were with. They just had less sex. And made prove themselves to get sex. Because of the consequences of sex. Men also had less sex, which made them push themselves to get it, push themselves to be better men to attract a good woman. The abundance of sex, I believe, has hurt the sexes more than bring us more together.

Indeed, men should look in the mirror to better themselves. Your words are so antagonistic. I want better men for women. Cause I do love women. I want to hopefully be a good man for a good woman. Men aren't your enemy, I hope you want the best for women and men alike. This animos towards men is very ill of you. You shouldn't want men to suffer. I didn't make these rules. We all grew up in them. If people talk about them, we all think something is wrong and discuss what's wrong and how to change the rules for everyone's benefit. In the paradise I created in my head, without contraceptives, women would raise the standard for men. Better men for women is what I want. Life isn't that simple, I'm aware. Too much freedom can be a negative. But women always had freedom to choose the men they were with. They made men wait for sex. Pushing men to be better in order to get it. A woman went on multiple dates, turned down men like they always have. Then They gained the ability to have sex like a man. But the way men have sex is also terrible to society. Even though it's ingrained in our bodies lust and desires. So marriage was meant to create a system of men to have a women to be loyal to. The ability…

Men do lower their standards, and I don't think they should. Just as women shouldn't lower their standards either. Free agency for men and women is for sure a good thing. But Free will still needs direction. I believe contraceptives do harm to women that outweigh the benefits. I don't believe the government should get in between men and women. But that punishment is a good deterrent, keeping more people from having premarital sex. It's unfortunate that people get trapped in shitty relationships that they don't want. But the example of people missing up their lives is needed so people can see the example of understanding your actions and the consequences of not thinking through your actions. I'm talking about people in general, laws keep us in line. Our morales are based off of the society we grow up in. Me personally. If I had the power to be above the law I fear I would be evil. Maybe. I am trying to get to the bottom of the problem between the sexes. Fatherlessness, contraceptives, capitalism, other things. All add to the issues. If I need to insult myself to get to parts of the truth in the behaviors of men, so be it. We should shine a light on our faults to know how to change and recognize that are thinking is wrong. It is your responsibility to hold the men in your life to a standard, and its the responsibility of men to hold the women in their life to a standard. Not every woman has to do this. Women have responsibility, and so do men. I have self control, but not to an infinite amount. You have self control but you aren't perfect, no one is. Although I consider myself honorable, the ability to run from responsibility is a temptation worth its salt. Many men fall to it. And external reinforcement of consequences is needed in many ways. And the pairing of good men and women who will raise these future generations. I believe men would be better fathers and there would be more better men if the standard was raised higher. I believe it should be taken up with both fathers and mothers. Not men. Half the problem with the provider narrative is that women need men. Women hoist the provider role on men. What percent of women would take a man without a job? But men would more take a women without a job. A man is more than his genitalia. A man is confident, responsible, secure in himself. Your statement should read a male has a pair of testicles. A man is very much more. You wouldn't call a insecure 20 year old, with fear of the world, insecure of himself, fears women, fears the unknown, takes no responsibility, and let's his mother do everything for him a man. What good is a father to his daughter or son by only being a provider, but not being a father figure. His kids never go physically hungry, But starve emotionally. I good women being a good women doesn't guarantee she gets a good man, but it helps her chances. But if a good women meets a terrible man for her. The hope is that she recognizes it and leaves him. People need ideals, this world would be over without idealist. I'm a pessimist. But I'm thinking of a solution, if women and men learn to respect themselves now. Doing whatever they need…

That's true. Our parents may damage us. But is our responsibility to heal ourselves, no one is going to heal you or make your parents say sorry to you for whatever they did or didn't do to you. But to a child. Who needs their parents, to guide them, to give them the push into life. There should be good mothers and fathers there. Babies and toddlers Don't have agency, a lot of the damage we suffer from as adults started in our childhood. So good parents, to their children, create good future men …

Assuming he hurts no one. A man who takes no responsibility, it's not a man I would recommend to any woman to marry. A man can do whatever he wants. But with no responsibility, in my opinion, he is letting the boy in him rule him. Impulsive desires. He may love himself, but he better not cry when no one chooses to love him.

It's like the longest ladder. I believe lack of father figures has been a problem for generations. The fathers of ages past. They are wrong to react so aggressively. That's where my thoughts on men not ruling themselves, so they need to rule others comes in. Then if they have sons. They become tyrants. And hurt there sons although being in their lives. But the question is how to fix this. A good man is understanding, and wouldn't ever be in disgust at his daughter bringing tampons. Or call his s…

But its those mothers that may lash out at their sons unjustly through emotional or mental abuse, I wonder about their relationship with their father, i'd be willing to make a bet that more then 50% didn't have healthy relationships with their fathers. In a ideal world. Mothers would love and adore their sons and want nothing but the best for them. So what about them, what caused the need to lash out. I believe the root is with the father.

I believe boys need a farther for discipline, direction, honor, strength, and confidence. And a mother is needed so that boy can know what a good women is. So he doesn't settle for less. The reverse is true for mothers. A single father holds the same problems for the children, just in reverse. A single parent house hold is never ideal. And men Don't know the pain of child birth. What's the point of such a statement. There are fathers that are there physically, but not emotionally, so there are f…

Men get responsibility and work. The work of helping raise a family, work to support his family, and of course you'd expect that his wife will love him and respect him and care for him. Men get something out of the responsibilities and work they take on. A high status, women who desire him, hopefully a good women. It's a good man who takes on responsibility. It's the boy who avoids responsibility. And no girl expects love from a good man unless she is a good woman. Good men respect their wives, …

Women who unfortunately Don't know a good man from a manipulator. Who ignore or Don't see red flags. Men do lie. Sometimes very well. But I believe that you can avoid this by making a man wait for sex. I seriously man I believe will wait and will want to wait. Manipulators Don't like to wait to long. Since they care for their pleasure more then their partners. So if you make them wait. They leave. I also feel that easy sex has contributed to this difficulty in dating today.

It is a shame that people lie. You Don't have to be a mind reader. But to avoid being with a man who might ultimately abandon a women. A women needs to hold a man to a standard, patience, kind. I fear many women give men what they want to quickly, and avoid to many red flags. And red flags can be seen easily when you know what a good man is. Hence having a good father as a base point. We can't tell fathers to be good to their children when the damage is already done and those kids are young adul…

But I Don't think a man should see himself as only a paycheck. Neither should a money. It's like some Don't know what else they can provide but money, but that should be a man with passions or hobbies, love and care for his wife. A healthy relationship. Not just a provider.

A women can make a boy a man. But it's not ideal. That man is responsible to grow and heal his own trauma. In my case. I was 25 when I met my ex. I was not mature, still had a boy mentality. And being in a relationship, I felt forced to grow into a man. For my girlfriend. That's the effect I'm was talking about. My ex broke up with me because I was far to insecure. And she wasn't responsible for my unhealed trauma. So she had more than the right to break up with me. And she threw her actions bro…

But why do those women/mothers abuse their sons? That's where I got the idea that they probably didn't have active fathers. They control their sons and keep them safe and close as to not lose another man. And their son is a man that needs her from birth. And women like it when men/boys need them. At least in the case of never being loved by a man/father. So they substitute that love with their sons.

I've seen the Chad's you speak of. But we gotta think ideas for sir, not Chad's. There are alot of men who don't have confidence in themselves, for what I believe was being fatherless. So, talking about it. Hopefully, some men might see this, and I hope to try to strive towards a higher purpose. Being good husbands and fathers. I bet a lot of men want that for themselves, but don't know how to get it. Fixing the dating crisis I believe will take generations, we need to raise children the right w…

Confidence makes a man. Attractiveness is a roll of the dice. And sir Chad, being born Attractive is probably given a lot of Confidence from the getgo. So, yes. I suppose Chad can just show up in most cases.

A man can do whatever he wants. I only hope that he doesn't hurt others in the process. If he does, it's then the responsibility of others to reject him. From family or friends, women... everyone is responsible for rejecting the behaviors that they don't want to see. Those that don't Reject bad behavior, I admit. They need to learn. So being a good man or a bad one. No matter what a man does. Either it be himself or the world. Someone takes responsibility. Through learning to deal with malicious…

I myself needed father figures to emulate. But my ex played an incredibly powerful role in pushing me to be a man and take responsibility, for my heath, for my future. She taught me to love myself and respect myself. That's how I meant it. Unfortunately, my mother provided me with little direction. My uncles were good men. But they only helped so much. I had to make a lot of mistakes and live life to grow up and learn to be a man. And as you said. My mother coddled me up until I was 18. And I st…

I didn't, she broke up with me. Long distance issues, on top of our insecurities. Me anxious and her avoident. I visited her twice though. Best days of my life. Long distance is a relationship killer. That's why I mentioned closing the distance quickly.

She found a post I made of r4r. I explained my personality, my flaws, my strengths, my values and what I was looking for in a woman. She then reached out to me. This was my old profile, in that profile I had a journal of my life. She first read the post and then she went through my journals, so she got to understand me better than what my single post could show. I had my picture in my profile. So she knew what I looked like, attraction is important, so I imagine she reached out to me knowing I w…

Church. If you aren't religious, but you want a feminine woman, you have to be picky. And filter out. Just like woman do. My last ex, was very feminine. Met her here on reddit, my post that attracted her was very clear on who I was and what I wanted. Started long distance, and visited her a few times. I don't recommend long distance, unless you can afford to close the distance quickly. Dating apps even. But you got to be picky and clear about the kind of man you are and what you want. Put your v…

I don't know better. But I was just going on about question, it sounds confusing. Like if you were asked it. How would you respond? I do believe what op wanted was a variety of broad characteristics that many women share. Like perhaps kindness, giving, dressing well, being well spoken. Interested in their partners hobbies. And then whatever she could contribute to her person, to better be desired by her future husband. I sure didn't really need to chime in. The question grabbed My interest. But …

I'm a guy, but the question as asked, I think is misframed The question is fine, but I can be asked differently to not create the assumption of a pure transactional relationship. I think the question should be broken up into many questions. Like the type of things you would talk about on a date. What are your passions? Then talk about them. What our your dreams? Do you want kids one day? Do you believe in anything? Do you have hobbies? All these questions, become the many answers to your base qu…
