If it's a modification to her house then, unless there was a contract stating that the floor should only remain as long as she remains faithful, he has not claim over it. Even if it was a paid labour, the labourer can't just go tear it up. He would have to sue per the legal system. No judge is going to believe that a floor was an item in the boyfriend's possession akin to a tv or a pet.

The gender swapped analogue is situations when people say to male victims of abuse: "You must have done something to upset her". It's misogynistic because it suggests that women are the cause of the bad behaviour of men, not the men themselves.
