I never cared until I lived with someone who was adamant about it, and it caught on quickly. I can't handle open lids anymore. I blame the cat, but it's purely for sanitary reasons when I ask people to keep the lid closed in my home.

Fair enough, but I never meant to trivialize the issue at all. I said "not to start a war," meaning simply in this thread... not the overall issue. Dude, not to start a war, but she does have a point, right? Even the more upvoted comments in this thread seem to trivialize the magnitude of this issue more than the article did. I really don't understand what this has to do with men's rights... isn't this just another pedophile teacher that's getting punished for what she did?
