That's not the point I was making. Obviously you didn't read my question. I was asking whether or not consenting adults would be included in proposed ban, as some religious practices that would require it. Obviously it's not okay to force genital mutilation on an individual, and this should 100% be banned if unnecessary, but the practice itself is often a religious one, and banning it entirely I could not agree with.

It's sad too, that people would falsely accuse. If something was actually put in place to stop false accusations, victims would be even more afraid to come out about it. The system is broken as hell when someone can get away with defamation simply because if they couldn't, it could hurt real victims.

Because realistically, Circumcision, while still considered mutilation, doesn't really affect your life very much. Tell me, would you rather be circumcised or labeled a sex offender? While I completely agree that charges should exist, that's unreasonable.

In fairness, touching breast would be sexual assault, but he didn't do that. You can't just throw out a sex offense charge for something that you think "might happen" That's insane. He didn't actually do anything illegal or even questionable.

That's a bit far. I mean yes, this was not okay, barred from medical profession, yes, malpractice, again, yes, but Sex Offender doesn't allow for someone to even try to be a human afterwards. It's just ruining his life at that point.

This. Equality. It's a step in the right direction for everyone and While the idea was made to protect girls, it's a good thing for everyone who's part of it. Well if the defendant (rapist) is found innocent, does it not mean that the report was a false one? It's one or the other. An honest individual likely would be afraid to risk their own merit at a price so high.

I am afraid that this might actually do more harm than good though, Because people who are currently afraid to speak up about their assault would be even more afraid to than before, Could you imagine being raped and abused, only to be labeled as a sex offender when you were unable to prove someone guiilty? I just don't think it would be ethical. I mean, people have gotten away with rape before, and punishing someone for an accusation seems unfair. It would hurt those who have ACTUALLY been hurt …

Both. People are nicer than they were because of those in our all volunteer military. I respect that service and my gratitude goes toward it greatly, but the second my girlfriend or daughter is stolen into war is the day that I would no longer respect those who decided that it would be. I'll fight in my streets, but not on the foreign soil of those who are suffering because of us.

It isn't a duty. It's force. If we lived in japan, which is as free as The U.S., There would be no draft. Another point you forget to mention, is that the draft exists, but The U.S. has stated that they won't ever use it again. The Damn President is a draft dodger, what do you think that says about the rest of the country? We don't want war, period, and we don't want to die for a false cause. On top of that, a volunteer based military is 100% more effective than a fear based draft.

But your stating that you would ever run from the draft is sequential to treason. You don't get to choose where you do and don't fight unless you don't believe in the draft and actively fight against it. If you were going to be a soldier you should be a soldier, otherwise, it isn't up to you. Which is not freedom, because we should have that choice.
