I don't think I downvoted you or anyone. You said you felt sorry for my husband. That's a dickish thing to say and you knew you were being dickish when you wrote it. You made a snide comment and I corrected you. I said nothing about my husband, you did. If you don't want to hear about it, don't bring it up. So, I don't understand. This guy worked his ass off to raise two kids, alone, held it together and was strong and you think he had it easy? Because he never told you otherwise? Bravo to him f…

A little. But, it depends on how you look at it, too. Just being a mom who cares an average amount is a tough job. Maybe not in terms of physical labor, but in terms of stress and managing, yeah, it's exhausting mentally and emotionally. I run a residential school. That's one example and it's a shame if you are letting that one poor example determine your overall view of at-home mothers. My guess is you have never stayed home with a kid. If you're doing it right, it's harder than any job out there. And I work 70 hours a week roughly. I agree the woman in the OP put herself in a position to have to work and that's on her, but this does not mean all stay at home moms are lazy.

I don't get what's so disgusting. For one thing, we're only hearing one woman's side. Perhaps his other three kids were not content at all. I've seen men treated unfairly. But, I've seen the other side as well. Many men have three kids, get divorced and then want to "start over" with a new family at the expense of the first family. It's not a god-given right to have 4 children. I got knocked up in high school. Sadly, I couldn't afford more children as a result. I've worked my ass off for years, …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
