"Embrace the Suck" was more or less the exact same thing I told myself when I started working out. The first time I went to the gym, I felt like I was going to pass out or something. I was not in good shape, and it made things incredibly unpleasant. Months later, I can't see myself not going to the gym. I now take pleasure in the suck, because I know how that suck will positively affect my life.

Wait a second, the Mythbusters did the very same thing (testing if Men experience a decrease in cognitive ability in the presence of a member of the opposite sex, and an attractive one at that) It was handily busted. Men experienced little change, and even showed slight improvement. Makes me wonder how the two tests differed. Maybe the Mythbusters did something wrong, or maybe these other people did something wrong.

This is a strange coincidence. I AM that skinny bastard, I AM starting to go to the gym every day THIS week. The journey has just begun for me, that really resonates. However, I've always kind of been a loner. It's not like I'm anti-social or anything, but if friends aren't available, I can survive being alone more than most people. There was a Red Pill example in The Amazing Spider Man comics (I'm reading from the beginning) where the chick who works for Jameson told Peter not to go take pictures of some dangerous criminal. Of course, Pete goes because he needs the cash and she gets pissy about it. Pete ignores her whining, tells her his career matters more than her and that she can't tell him what to do, and walks out. I love discussing how interactions work and how they fail. Problem is, everyone here in America thinks it's weird. However, the people in my Romanian community (who live in the US) love talking about how people act, why they do what they do, and of course how failed relationships got that way.
