2	Got fired recently because I refused to treat a female co-worker like a child Yup. It's mooring maintaining. You winch up on the chain until it's taught straight up and down, and then hook the chain up to a crane to lift the mushroom anchor out of the mud. Some of the bigger boats need 1000+lb mushrooms, and use 3/4in chain or bigger. A whole brand new mooring setup, including bridles, chain, shackles, swivel shackle(s), and a mushroom can cost well over $2000 if everything is brand new and not secondhand.
