What's insane is that the girl and the girls mother both showed up to court saying he shouldn't be put on the list because the girl lied. That whole story is full of fuck. And from what I can see, he's not been removed permanently. All they're saying is they're starting the trial over from scratch. He could end up in the same fucking boat.

My point is it's not realistic to expect people to check people's fucking ID cards in normal interactions. If someone looks 19, and says they're 19, then I think anybody would believe them. Take a look at this comment. Guy was in a bar that didn't allow minors, the girl lied to him about her age and got in with a fake ID, she admitted to having a fake ID and lying, and he STILL got put in jail.

Really? There are no physical differences between most 15 year olds and most 19 year olds? I can't understand what you don't get about not judging someone's age by their looks! Was he taking a risk? Yeah. He believed her when she said she was 19. The woman knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that the boy was a minor, and slept with him anyway. It's not just as black and white as "Both were wrong." because one was waaaay farther into the wrong than the other, and she didn't get charged.
