Ayy! I'm raising a glass to that. Cheers. May we never be step-dads!

I see a LOT more fit dudes dating fatass women than the other way around where I live. I don't know what you're on about.

I think location is pretty important. I'm in the Midwest where people get married young- I also desire to not have children, or raise someone else's children, ever. So my pool narrows. But better to enjoy traveling and having some solid FWB's than providing for a fat chick with kids I never wanted to raise anyhoo.

Yeah I agree, location depends lol

I dunno man. I make a fair bit above median, have interesting and loyal friends, am funny, clean cut and fit. I attract overweight/obese women who are usually single mothers with dead-end jobs or are unemployed. I don't think that dating them would make my life better, as an aggregate, than worse as an aggregate. Hence being single.

Sometimes it's the area. Where I live, it's mostly overweight single moms left. So yeah, I guess I'll be a volcel until I move to a bigger metro- but I prefer my own company versus lowering myself to that. Dating one of them makes my life worse, not better.

Thirsty dudes going for women slightly below them for an easy lay, and women using sex as a "means" to find commitment.

Yeah as a dude, holy fuck. Almost married a woman who, I can now plainly see, would've made my life much worse. You are not wrong!

This is the best view- as a dude with the same, I don't date often because I also don't want someone who would detract more from my life than she would add. Which, is exceedingly few.

Newsflash- opening your legs for someone doesn't entitle you to a relationship with them. That's the same logic that "NiceGuys" use when trying to do nice things or buy girls gifts to get sex. Slippery slope.

I forgot that consent was only for women. /s

Hell no lol. As Kevin O'Leary said, "A bad deal is worse than no deal at all."

I think it has more to do with the lifestyle and "my family/friends/colleagues are fat" so it's more normalized for most here. Again, not shitting on it, but. Physical preferences don't lie lol

As tempting as that is, in my area in-shape women are usually taken or committed at my age. I'm moving to NYC in the next year or two, so I'm just not sweating it right now and working on getting there. But yeah, ordinarily, you'd be right.

I only attract women I'm not attracted to. I know it's my area (upper Midwest), but as a fit dude who does fit guy things, obesity does nothing for my peepee. Nothing against these women personally, just not my flavor.

Yeah like, what the hell even was this exchange?

Yeah that's a caveat. The coasts are out of control. I always had an apartment to save $$$ over an expensive mortgage and property taxes, and be more urban. But the pandemic hit and I moved back to help my folks when my dad was furloughed. I do get written off because "you don't own a house". Sorry, I don't want to be stuck in this area permanently as a single 30 y.o. dude. But what can you do.

I don't really see where you're seeing this. Where I live, midsized city in the Midwest, most men my age (30) are fit to overweight, own homes or have their own apartment, work a $40-50K/year job, drive a good car made in the last ~5 years or new, and dress fairly decently. That is both single and taken/married dudes. Married/taken women are somewhere in the same realm, whether by virtue of having a SO to share resources or not or on her own accord is case by case. The average single woman? Over…

To be fair, I think it's just the fascination of a spooky tall woman with huge tits. I don't think proportionately it makes any sense.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
