Cooking classes. You'll often find a mix of 20s-40s with a smattering of outliers at either end. It's nice for a couple reasons: It's easier to keep up. In a dance class you'll have people trying to wrack their brains and there's much less time for chatting- not a great combination. On that note: Conversation! It's hard to tell without having more reference to her tone. You say she "jokingly suggests" that you're gay, but the "I love having gay friends" comment in front of her friends makes me think she believes it.
