I've actually done this test since I noticed a difference between men and women and their behavior. Men will make move out of the way of others but women expect men to move out of the way. They are resume filler when stated that way, but you need to set goals in everything you do whether at work or at the gym. Goals are important since they let you measure progress, which if done right can show you if you aren't doing something optimally. Agree with the majoring in economics comment if a person is going to study business. The reason is that you can get a job in another field if you don't like finance fairly easily. I've hired quite a few economics majors to do everything from data analytics to marketing. They usually have a decent analytical mind and I don't have to double check their math. Another tip, take a few computer science classes no matter what your major is.

Why would a child being born later in life not be as smart? Intelligence is mostly the genetic lottery, a woman's gene's don't change as she ages (except for telomere length but that's not inherited). Human's aren't "devolving", we're evolving or selecting along a different path for different traits. What I'm seeing is a split path evolution where the successful and unsuccessful are separating.

As of 10 years ago when I was in school, prenatal testing did have risks, but I'm not sure how much they've improved since then. They normally only do the tests when there is a high likelihood for a genetic disease, ie Downs.

Mark Steyn wrote a book about this years ago called, America Alone: The End of the World As We Know It . He pretty much outlined how modern civilization will collapse. It's a combination of declining birthrates in the developed world, high birth rates of the Muslim populations in the developed world, and the social welfare state. You have a misrepresentation of libertarianism, based on what you said, you are in-fact a libertarian. Liberals co-opted the term liberal, a classic liberal is the same thing as a libertarian. Libertarianism isn't about being a "lone-wolf", it's about the freedom to make the choices that you want, with the only limitation being that your actions don't directly harm another individual. Within a free market people will automatically specialize as that's the profit maximizing action.

I'm roughly 5 standard deviations above the normal and while I've definitely worked with men that are either my intellectual equal or superior. I have never met a woman that was close, not even remotely close, most people don't realize the intelligence difference between someone with an IQ of 120 compared to 170+. They are both lumped together as "smart".

This is ridiculous, I used to be an exec at a decently sized gaming company and I never saw any discrimination. In fact there was the opposite, we went out of our way to hire women. In fact almost half my team was women (not on purpose). The only thing that I can see would bother a woman in the industry is that a lot of the guys aren't the greatest at social interactions so they're awkward and sometimes say stupid shit.

Another engineer here. Most engineers, including me during undergrad haven't developed their social skills since the topics that interest you don't tend to interest a wide audience so there isn't a lot of commonality for interaction.
