it just so happens I doesn't "just so happen". You're in an equal rights subreddit, for gods sake. Do you really think there aren't other factors influencing the choice?

Why is it sexist to think that certain attribute of a toy will entice girls to use them? I just don't see how that's discriminatory. If different colored lego blocks get girls to use them and make a positive impact on their development, that's great! Why is it a bad thing for her to care about the colors? The issue of childhood development is more important than the issue of removing gender associations from colors, I'm sure you can agree.

As in a male teacher saying that only male students in his class could play with the barbie dolls?

That is so unrelated to the issue, why even bother saying it? The only people making such a claim are extremists whose ideas get dismissed by the vast majority of the population. Acting like that is a commonly accepted idea just builds a straw-man.

The classroom has designated play time, and the issue she's addressing is toys. Why shouldn't she encourage girls in the classroom?

Uh, she didn't force the girls to use the legos, right? She just kept the boys from using them (a definite injustice, no doubt) and the girls ended up playing with them. I think that pretty well proves that the girls interest in legos was dampened by the boys using them, and perhaps shows that you need to take steps to provide toy-equity in the classroom. I think she definitely went too far, but for experimentation purposes, we've all learned something.

She should be criminalized for trying to get a section of her students engaged with a toy she believed was valuable for the development? That is about as far from "perpetuating toxic sexism" as it gets, in fact shes doing the opposite! If you think you could win a case against the school for not letting your sons play with legos during toy break, you're living in dream land.

child abuse for the boys Wait, remind me which part of this is abusive? Being denied your favorite toys is an injustice, but where is the abuse? Don't over-sensationalize the issue, you make light of other more serious issues of gender equality.

Tell me why you think her gender swayed the verdict when it would more likely have been her wealth or political power.

This is a terrible post. Hillary will not be convicted, the case has already been reviewed extensively. Also, this result has nothing to do with her gender! Isn't that the point of this sub?!

What am I ignorant to? Everyone has burdens in life, I don't see the point in complaining about them. It's not productive at all.

Then what is the point of this post? "Life is hard." Oh please, is this really just another sub of teenagers?

Sprints around a corner, chasing 2 people that are both with their kids: totally not aggressive at all. Just because he is a victim doesn't mean he didn't do anything wrong. Why would he walk into the store and then turn around and sprint at them? I understand how the men who attacked him were 100% at fault but can you really argue that he played the situation correctly?

If I saw a woman sprint around a corner at 2 men that were with their kids and chase them down, I'd think the women was an attacker. That's not sexism, that's common sense. Attacking him was completely awful and uncalled for but you can understand how given the context, their reactions make sense. I'm not justifying their actions, I'm justifying the logic behind their actions. Violence is never the answer but to argue that he didn't come off as violent to the strangers is ridiculous.

Being female is a burden too. Life is a burden. Who are we to say which sex has more of a burden? Where does it get us if we answer this question? I don't see the point in this argument. Sexism goes both ways, there is no denying that. To complain that men have a harder time in life is pointless and doesn't help to improve anything for either sex.

Why would he sprint around the corner at her? All of the people around the corner had no idea what was going on and what she had done. It's not like he was in a store uniform either, how are they supposed to know that he was just trying to stop them if hes sprinting around the corner chasing them? This post is ridiculous.

I don't understand how you can say "Every woman." That's as ridiculous at "Every man." Why insist on making generalizations like this? People are individuals. While we all act based on human nature, there is no set of rules that everyone follows.

This is a stupid post. To say that women are incapable of loving a person is illogical and idiotic. Its a useless concept that perpetuates an incorrect view of women and has nothing to do with the "self improvement" this sub claims to be about. Downvote if you want, but I'd rather see some responses telling me why I'm wrong. I don't disagree with your claims of other things that she loves. Those are spot on. But to say that she loves those things without loving you just isn't correct. Edit: Look…

She complains that I was expecting her to compromise her comfort for my sake. I anticipated this and mostly just said I'm sorry Because asking someone to compromise their comfort for your sake is clearly sexist and rude. Better apologize right away so you don't hurt her feelings. In all seriousness, its people with no backbone like this guy who end up getting dumped because they don't stand up for themselves.

The purpose of men enforcing intercourse regularly (as in, more than once a month) onto women is because it’s the surest way to cause pregnancy and force childbearing against our will, and thereby gain control over our reproductive powers. hahahaha

I just wrestled against a girl last friday. She was pretty good but I still beat her 9-2 with a pin in the second. I pinned her with an armbar.

Girl freaks out when crossing the street and pulls her boyfriend to the ground in front of a car. The bf failed at his job by forcing the gf to fend for herself. Confirmed feminist.

You may not always agree with everything your girlfriend says or does. But, mutual respect is the backbone of any healthy relationship. Sounds good. Respect from both parties is important. Speaking of backbone – respecting her wishes doesn’t mean sacrificing yours, but it does mean being willing to bend it a little bit for her. Hold on, you're saying that men have to "bend" what they want so that women can get more of what they want? What happened to the equality you were just talking about? You…

How can you actually believe that the majority of marriages end up with the husband's life ruined? That seems like a pretty skewed perspective.
