While this is correct in the Real World, online at least there is a strong attitude among trans activists to equate any form of non-standard or non-actually-rather-restrictive gender expression with the "trans" label. It's one of those little ironies in how it makes them rather strict in their interpretation of gender roles.

I offer you the masterpost, to give you some idea of what Gamergate was all about; Hoo boy, this is gonna be quite a wall of text, but it's a pretty complex issue so bear with me...the hardest thing about explaining GamerGate is that GamerGate wasn't the start of GamerGate. If you wanna know how GamerGate started, you have to look a few years back before the big blowup. There's two main factors that lead up to it: 1: A large and growing disconnect between the gamer audience and the games press, …

That's what I'm uncomfortably thinking; This article is less about dating and more about Domestic Violence, and brings all the baggage and elephants-in-the-room that that conversation has.

This article from the ABC offers some commentary from feminist professor Rachel Hogg about social attitudes surrounding dating, and challenges some of the "women need to attract men" concepts. I was reminded of this excellent little video by one Josh O'Brian that neatly breaks down some of the issues surrounding the topic

I'm quite wary of him. Leaving aside that he seems to be impersonating Destiny, the allegations of sex-pestism and whether or not he may be a wealthy California communist, The man seems to have little consistency and will play himself up and down the left-wing political spectrum whenever it suits him. He'll describe himself as an Anarchist in one stream, a Communist in the next and them play all nice with the liberals in a third stream. He's fundamentally dishonest and that makes it hard for me …

It'd be a better video if it wasn't coming from Jonathan Macintosh, given that he's (probably) responsible for this little beauty: https://twitter.com/femfreq/status/533445611543363585?lang=en
