In that case it sounds like you are both non-monogamous/polyamorous.

As in you were being ironic? PPD is full of eejits so hard to tell sometimes, my apologies.

Yes because it's how we get hurt. Women are at risk physically from abusive partners, I personally have no problem with getting hurt physically as my hobby basically forces me to get hurt regularly. Emotional pain in the most visceral manner from someone supposed to love you? Very different.

I don't think we're disagreeing here. I am aware most people enjoy the process of dating, I don't. The same way I enjoy the process of training for my sport which most people don't. Therefore I don't date at the minute, but I do train.

They shouldn't, but if someone is an idiot and a grown adult and puts themselves in a bad situation I am not going to feel any pity for them.

I can see both sides of it- for me there's the pride thing of not wanting other men to see the sexual side of your wife (and vice versa). But I can also see how your wife wearing revealing clothing but only doing sexual stuff with you is advantageous to your social standing.

Are you not worried of what your children would think of their mother sexually entertaining men for money though? If I learned my mother had been a dancer in a nightclub I would go no contact personally.

It's neither. I am coming from a position of abundance and safety, with zero interest in cucking. Sounds like you have a stag/vixen dynamic rather than hotwife/cuck

There's really nothing wrong with caring about that though, unless it crosses the line into abuse. Having a hard boundary of not wanting your partner to dress in a sexually provocative way is perfectly OK as long as they are free to leave the relationship at any time.

he who's without sin should cast the first stone This is a moronic Judeo-Christian doctrine once again. The essence of human intellect is being judgemental: namely analysing a situation and then categorising it based on our logical judgement of it.

Yeah it's pretty ageist to be treating young adults who are over 18 as if we have less emotional intelligence or ability to pair bond.

Nobody goes from zero to a hundred instantly. You just need to recognise red flags and break up before it gets to be cheating.

Exactly, so if you don't enjoy it (which I don't- I just find it turgid and time-consuming because I don't enjoy most people's company very much) why bother unless you're gaining something out of it?

Either she wants me exclusively (and vice versa) or I'm not interested. You deserve a partner who will want to date you and only you, not beg for attention in some kind of livestock parade.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/24 12:30 AM
2

Does it mean we're not exclusive? Do you think either of us thought it's something casual? Well that's kind of the point- he never thought it so it didn't matter. As somebody who has very little ability to read social cues, I need to have things like this spelled out for me and if a potential partner gets in their feelings about it we're not compatible (I of course do the same for them).
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 08:47 PM

Some people just struggle to read people, or have been hurt in the past. Walking out because you think him wanting a little bit of reassurance about you being exclusive early on and in a climate where it isn't presumed is "insecure" strikes me as unempathetic and cold.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/24 10:34 AM

I don't think it's that female libido is lower, it's just more complex. Male libido is generally linked pretty closely to serum testosterone levels assuming no other hormonal abnormalities, whereas women's libidos change with their menstrual cycle. So at one part of the month it will be higher, and lower at another.

Saying that you view sex differently/are less interested in chasing women immediately after ejaculating is like saying that you're less interested in food immediately after eating. It's common sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/24 03:54 PM

If a woman is feminine in looks (I.E. pretty) she is hot. I don't give a fuck if she lifts weights, rides motorcycles, whatever. Attractiveness is about looks primarily.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 12:14 AM

Eh not necessarily. It's quite possible that said kid will just be made by the experience rather than broken by it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 12:13 AM

Ffs there is no such thing as "alpha chad", at least not how he is claiming. Most professional fighters I've met are to some extent social outliers and many of them are quiet and dislike parties. A majority are happily married, lots married young. All these fresh-n-fit bros who think that refusing to cook makes you a man rather than the ability to take a beating and not quitting are fucking embarrassing. (This is not directed at you, rather at the general sentiment on this sub)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 12:11 AM

Human beings are primarily attracted to looks, and the halo effect is real. A good looking person who is meek is adorably shy, you want to bring them out of their shell etc. An ugly person who is the same is a reclusive shut-in. The tail wags the dog on this one. Personality does matter, but most women (like most men) are aroused by looks, not how someone behaves.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 12:08 AM

Women aren't a monolith. I personally know a couple where the lady is a lifestyle dominant and leads the marriage, very happily. I also know several women who don't even date men. Most heterosexual women prefer a dominant man, probably something like 90-95% if we are talking in terms of leadership. Most people obviously aren't kinky, but of those who are probably 5% of straight women are exclusive dominants and 20% or so are genuine switches.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 12:06 AM

Not necessarily, there are sexually dominant women who would prefer to sleep with a submissive man (although they're rare). Christian slave morality also doesn't really apply to the nuclear family. Women had more freedom in pre-Christian European societies unless they were enslaved, and slavery was a fact of life for all religions until the enlightenment.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 12:04 AM

IME dominant women become submissive around even more dominant men they’re attracted too. Are you talking in terms of sexual or social dominance? In my experience the first is an assumption lots of dominant women despise.

If I made a post asking about this, I would expect 100 people to give an answer on what they like better. Then, I can use the data to find that 65% of people said burgers (for instance), and conclude that people prefer burgers to burritos.

It's pretty simple. The OP asks for a sample from women, and multiple women give their own experiences- thus giving him a decent sample size. The same way if I wanted to find out if people had adverse reactions to a medical treatment I wouldn't just ask one guy how many of their friends had a reaction; I would ask multiple people to give their own experience then collect data based on that.

In my experience, "punching up" is seen as a positive trait whereas "punching down" is a negative. For instance, there are guys I train with who are absolutely fearless but will also take the time to show newer people techniques. In my opinion, this makes them good men as they will not back down against someone who is better than them, but neither will they bully someone who is worse.

Honestly, who gives a fuck? Personally I think the alpha/beta thing is bullshit purely from a scientific perspective, but that isn't an ideological view. If the science came along to back it up then I would support it. What I would never do is tailor my behaviour to what society says is "alpha" or "beta". Whether I display romantic gestures towards women (or hypothetically towards men were I a homosexual), and how I do so is governed purely by my own ethics, desires, and life goals. Whether said…

Resilience is a choice. You feel like you want to cry and give up, but you keep pushing through it. You can also learn to masochistically enjoy the suffering a la David Goggins which is the way I went but isn't always great.

Older people probably. My grandparents are and have always been socialists so they were never like this, also my grandfather worked professionally in mental health. Besides them I haven't really interacted with old people that much. I don't think praising your toddler for, for instance, not crying over a cut knee is a bad thing. Imo enduring physical pain without tears is a good thing, it's just emotional pain that can't be bottled up and needs to be let out through weeping.

Say yes, with women I've known multiple men who's partners either slow-dumped or straight up broke up with them after they cried in front of them. There's also plenty of anecdotes of that here.

I haven't cried since I was 12, but I mostly spend my time in very stereotypically masculine environments and we've had multiple conversations about mental health.

Honestly, I've never met a single man (and I've known and do know many stereotypically masculine men) who perpetuate the "men don't cry" thing either by their words or actions. Everyone who I've met who has propagated this has been a woman.

Even just being stoic doesn't work. Anything that could be construed as an "ick" which in real life would be more clearly visible as someone's quirky personality causes an unmatch. I recently downloaded tinder and actually used the set height feature as an experiment- I got 10 likes in 2 days but 5 of them unmatched after talking to me lol

On online dating if you show any kind of emotional weakness it usually bites you in the arse. Most men haven't ever used a prostitute besides trips to the Netherlands as a tourist thing, even then most people I know who've been Amsterdam have just smoked weed. Porn is bad, but how are you extrapolating that men don't want relationships? Plenty of lonely men watch pornography.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/24 08:52 PM
11

You underestimate how many men care more about love than sex. It's just far more socially acceptable for a man to complain about being horny and wanting some tail than it is for him to express loneliness and a desire for romantic love.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/24 08:12 PM

Women tend to have closer social bonds (or rather more different ones), especially with their families and female friends in my experience. Male friends aren't affectionate with one another in the same way that female friends are in the West.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/24 07:56 PM

I don't think most men don't care, it's just that the primary drive of most mammals is to find a mate. Apart from food and water (neither of which are scarce for most in the modern West) it's the number one stressor on people's souls.

This isn't how emotional bonding works. Once you've fallen in love with someone you physically react differently to them because of hormonal secretion. It's possible to rewire your brain and fall out of love, then in love with somebody else, but this doesn't just happen. Honestly it's probably a little bit of horseshoe theory in action here. In very liberal social groups discussing body count with any kind of negativity is taboo as it's anti-feminist and sex-negative. In very conservative circles it goes against traditional morality (at least in the US where social conservatives tend to be Christian) to have a high body count or glorify sex, so people won't discuss it. If I said that women suffer from being harassed, would that be wrong (since I am not nor can I ever be a woman)? Even then, I've dated before so this point doesn't stand up. You seem to be a very delusional and bitter individual. The majority of people reading this will have seen their peers generally dating people from their own age group: if all men (or almost all) were getting rejected…

Skin-tight clothes have been a thing since the Roman Empire- indeed, the moralists then often wrote about them. You're right that what was considered scandalous was different at different times: in the 1920s the flappers cut their hair short and wore short skirts, which was seen as a negative thing then. With that being said, if you think people weren't promiscuous and didn't wear revealing clothes in the 70s and 80s you're sorely mistaken. Both my parents were alive then and were relatively nor…

So "they" is a government which rules a land I have never visited and currently has no effect on me. Good to know reddit's US-centrism is still alive and well.

There has been a resurgence of this type of view recently. In times of economic distress nostalgia hits hard. One notices that the "incel" subculture has largely risen since the 2007-08 financial crisis much like reactionary-revolutionary ideologies grew in the 1930s.

I invented the term. "Green pill" just means "nature with all its hardships is better than modernity, and we were better off mentally in a pre-industrial society."

The UK has recently gone about legalising no-fault divorces and the same thing is happening. Child support judgements also aren't as much a thing here

Quite possibly. Unfortunately blasphemy against said faith has recently been pseudo-criminalised in the United Kingdom.

Sure, but in Western European society women dressing up and going out dancing and meeting men (contrary to the beliefs of incels) has been widely accepted since the 1960s. My great grandmother was a flapper, and this was in the 1920s! Covert recording which borders on creep shots, and catering to a community of people (the commentors) who obviously have nefarious intentions is widely accepted as wrong. I can see from your profile you're from India and I'm aware social norms are different there. …

From the top: The OP made a blanket statement, by saying "every man has experienced this". I gave examples of this not happening, thus disproving his statement. Secondly, learn to read. I said that 90% of my peers were dating people their own age, not all of them. Your last point is an appeal to authority fallacy.

The issue the woman in the linked article has is the men in the comments making sexual comments about the women and/or victim blaming for rape, and the fact that the creator knows this and keeps doing making the videos.

The videos themselves are from the article something approaching creep shots. Not telling everybody that you go to nightclubs isn't hoeing around and not telling the truth about it. I don't reveal all the details of my life to everyone because it's both unworkable and pointless. I personally hate nightlife and anyone who enjoys it wouldn't be compatible with me as a partner, but this doesn't make them a bad person. Most people go to nightclubs and used to in the past, including my normie parents…

Ding ding! What's that? An appeal to authority fallacy? The OP said "every man in the world". Therefore the fact that I went to a mainstream, mixed-sex school where the paradigm he stated to be universal does not exist disproves his assertion.

Consent is what matters in terms of judging romantic relationships morally. In terms of their value to people's lives, it's stupidly narrow minded to say that a person in their mid twenties and another in their late teens can't be good for each other. And as for the personal element, I've only even been on first dates with people between 6 months and 4 years older than me, so it doesn't apply to me.

Of course consenting means something you imbecile. It literally means everything in terms of romantic relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/24 05:21 PM

It also isn't really socially unacceptable. For instance today I was watching football and chatting to a lovely couple about my age where the lady was around 6-7 years older than the man (he was 20 I think). Nobody batted an eye.

It means something for matters of propriety, though.

This is ridiculously narrow minded. For one thing plenty of people don't go to college, or stay in high school until 18. There are coddled people in their thirties and those who have been working from sixteen. Some people go to college later than others. Apart from anything else, as long as both parties are able to consent (which they are being over 18) there are so many things you can bond and fall in love over. They could share hobbies, or a place of work, or tastes in food and music. These th…

Women don't start to lose fertility until minimum late 20s, there is no biological reason for this. I personally would hypothetically date from 18 to 30ish, although I'm currently single by choice.

Another big difference is alcohol. It's normal for parents to give their children beer/wine with a meal occasionally from the age of 12 or 13, and to buy them hard liquor or cider (cider is alcoholic here) for parties from 14 or 15. My grandad let me have a glass of whisky with him from about age 15 lol

I don't know then. Out of all my friends I went to school with 90% of couples were in the same year group.

Maybe it's mainstream for Americans and/or the terminally online middle classes. In the UK amongst normal folk nobody would think this is weird.

False premise. The correct question is "why don't people want to get married anymore". The answer is atomisation.

Inappropriate? What? 19 is a fully grown adult. My parents were 26 and 19 when they got together. Idk what this weird thing is with infantilising 18 year olds

Almost nobody in my school dated outside our year group. Sounds like an American thing. If a boy dated a girl more than one year younger than him he was usually mocked for being a nonce.

I am sorry this has been your experience mate. I remember my mum telling me that my dad cried a lot when his father died, and she wished he showed emotion like that more as she felt it brought them closer together.

Talk to your male friends in general. One of our friends (not so close to me but my best mate's very close friend) committed suicide at 19 and now we always talk about mental health. In the UK at least and as someone who does MMA having started out in boxing, Tyson Fury was a massive help.

so we shouldn't encourage aggression in boys and we should spend more time teaching them to control their anger and express it in productive ways Boys are not encouraged to be aggressive anymore. In school and from parents I was taught to "tell a teacher". When I have sons, I will break that cycle by telling them to use their fists in response to aggression, and their hearts in response to kindness.

Exactly. Anger and rage are as beautiful as love and compassion, just as the raging swell is as glorious as a calm summer sea.

I think women generally are very kind to their friends, relations and children when they show vulnerability, just not their romantic partners. Furthermore, you shouldn't give a fuck about what they think. If you want to cry, cry. That's masculine. Fearing the reactions of others is weak.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 09:26 PM

The added part you're missing is women will have sex with you but not commit if she likes your looks but not your personality (this was the position I was in the first time I had sex)
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/24 05:41 PM

I have zero problems with taking things slow as long as you're OK with not going on expensive dates. Happy to sit in a park and talk for hours with someone I like/love without having sex. But if someone is asking for expensive dates then I smell bs
