Sound unfathomably self centered and selfish. If that’s who you are maybe it would be better for your son for you to leave. Otherwise go punch yourself in the face 25 times for even considering it for such shallow and self centered reasons.

You can have a meaningful relationship without signing a legal agreement tying yourself to that person financially. You can live and love and even support that person if you choose without legally obligating yourself to do so. You’re not having kids as you said, so what’s the point? How does it benefit you?

It can’t be detected in hair.

All good. Deny it. Would require a spinal tap to test and no judge is ordering that. Trust Jackalope.

It gets better. My wife could run a train on the Edmonton Oilers and I would sleep like a baby.

I know why you’d say that. All I can say on that matter is I’ve never seen even a clue. Every story has checked out, never one little thing has implied infidelity. It would in a way make it easier at this point. And I’ve snooped. Never found a thing. And she’s not that bright.

I’m not offended. It was 2008, the financial crisis hit me hard. I was scared with three young kids and didn’t handle it right. I gotta own it and I do.

Thank you. I’m not used to walking around on the verge of tears every day.

Oh yeah. She’s great. She’s the life of the party. Funny, very warm to strangers and patients. But all her interactions are casual. All her fiends are superficial. I see this wonderful, funny, charming woman...but not to me.

Its like talking to a wall. Or we make progress and then weeks or months later she says she just said that to end the conversation. When we get to anything about her, she either escalates, deflects, or finds anything in the past to put on me. In 2008 I bought a puppy and then our older dog died and I got another. We had three small babies at the time and it was a mistake at the time. She was furious and I was insensitive about it because I didn’t see the big deal. Those dogs are dead now and she…

Because I have four kids including a young son I want to be there every day for, not part time. That and finances. And hope it would turn around.

Oh yeah. Hundreds of times rolling on my belly apologizing and making amends. So many times.

She did. She’s a registered nurse. She can easily make 100-120k a year. She is getting laid off because she won’t get the vax.

So far our discussions have been revolving around complete joint custody. 50/50. I don’t want to keep the kids from their mom and I don’t think she wants to keep them from me. She values her social life too much tbh. She’s going to want her space to party or bar fly or whatever it is she’s looking for.

Thanks man. You got me teary with this. I tried my best. I really really did. It may not have been enough, but I have done my very best to be what she wanted/needed.

Yeah thanks. It sucks. The money really sucks. I’ve been a meticulous planner my whole life and I don’t have time or career runway to rebuild.

That’s funny. She actually showed my daughters a video on how not to be involved with a narcissist implying I was one. I have tremendous empathy for all sorts of people. I’m a flawed man, but not a narcissist.

Women abuse child support for their own ends all the time. Don’t be naive.
