Sexual violence exerted on a woman is definitely because she's a woman. It was a 14 year relationship where they often stayed together, vacationed together, she used his last name, he proposed to her several times (which was accepted), paid off large amounts of her debt, gave her kids a lavish lifestyle, she quit her job etc. Under those circumstances it kinda seems fair.
