I've been on this planet for a few years. The things I described are very common occurances for most women I know. The men I know rarely get this much harrassment. This discussion wasn't about race until you brought it up. When controlled for other variables, women usually had it worse than men on average. Obviously a rich woman has it easier than a poor bloke, I'd never deny that but that just wasn't the discussion. The discussion was about whether patriarchy ever existed, and I see many guys on here twist themselves in a bend to deny it.

Ugh. Reminds me of the other stereotype I just keep seeing in movies. The gritty, bitter man who quietly suffers loss (a divorce, a death, a dream), drinks too much, is mean, doesn't talk about his feelings, is a total mess, but somehow plows through and gets the job done. Every time I start a new Netflix show it's this guy, and I've just stopped watching all of them, it's exhausting.
