I wasn't arguing about who historically was or wasn't discriminated against. I was simply saying your statement was wrong. You assume that women weren't interested in medicine, or weren't made for it, or it was too "hard" for them to understand science. Unless women have changed drastically in the last few hundred years, this is completely wrong. You continually counteract any female experience with a male's experience. That to me is disregarding their perspective. Just because men had it bad doesn't mean women didn't, and vice versa. 4	Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women OP got the day wrong, as today is actually "National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women". I believe that this is only celebrated here in Canada. It is the anniversary of the 1989 Ecole Polytechnique massacre.
