Burn it down. Ruin his life. He deserves it.

Brother get out of that relationship. But get a lawyer asap. I also sincerely hope this can be a wake up call and she can get help with the drinking.

Im in the same scenario. I can't imagine this sort of thing would matter to the judge. Her not wanting services in her name that she has enjoyed from you is kind of a her problem.

I don’t want that house. I don’t want to live down the street from her parents (where she would be living). I want something new, fresh, to build new memories.

Update 6/2/2026: We submitted discovery documents 4/30, provisional hearing was scheduled by her lawyer on 6/5/2026. Just got notice this morning that the hearing was rescheduled for 7/31/2026. I don't understand the long delays. Just want out this.

When I found out about the 3rd affair - of which was a 2 year relationship of sending each other gifts, multiple meet ups, weekend trips together. She’s made me hate her. I get irritated being in the same room as her. But now she’s back on her “God journey” so I guess she’s good now

Yes, I am willing to give up certain things - within reason - for this to all be over with. Thank you

I think this is a status hearing. My lawyer stated he hoped we would be able to wrap this up at the hearing.

The main issue is that - because we both know she can’t afford it - she isn’t going to sell or refinance until she’s able to. She won’t do anything unless she’s legally instructed to. Which will be at least 2 years. So I am not going to continue being on the hook for a mortgage I don’t want for 2 years while she gets her finances in order.

Her lawyer also filed a financial restraining order in February. So maybe that’s why a hearing was scheduled instead of mediation.

Great question. We both hired lawyers, mine gave me a court date and said this is what happens when you’re not in 100% agreement. From what I understand if lawyers are involved, a court hearing is apart of the process

No realtor is even going to list your house one the market until both parties have signed the seller agreement. Get a lawyer asap.

This is crazy. I caught my wife cheating (for the third time) in January. We had to put our dog down a few weeks after that. It's like we are on the same timeline. The eye stuff sounds rough man. We - alot of us in this sub - seem to all be going through this together at the same time. Please feel free to DM if you just need a fellow dad to talk to and bounce ideas off of.

my guess is that, in the long term, this does not end well.

One day at a time man. That's all you can do. Find a friend or family member to live with -- you must priotize finding a job quickly. Any job. Some income is better than none. Stay here for your daughters. You must keep fighting.

This is just such weird behavior on so many levels. Seek counseling and pray your wife can eventually move past this.

It looks my state now does “spousal maintenance" and it's very limited. Shew!

I never had her in my family group chats but I left all of her family ones the day after I told her to consider us officially seperated.

Is spousal support almost a guarentee, even with kids? we have our final hearing in June and I am terrified that I am going to get with child and spousal support.

At some point, around year 10, the entire marriage felt like I was trying to get it right. Like I knew she was unhappy and I was trying to figure out how to make her happy. And for me to be enough. After the third affair, I knew I would never be who she wanted me to be.

My hunch is that she is already hooking up with that other guy. People that need time, in the interest of eventually repairing a relationship, do not immediately admit to having eyes for someone else. I don’t know what I would do in this scenario, I’m sorry you’re going through this. When you say you have made mistakes that you are now owning - what does that mean? Also where has she moved out to? A hotel room? Signed a lease for a new place?

Prior to divorce, cut off your wife financially as much as possible and get her working full time. Her attorney filed a financial restraining order and judge approved it same day. So, yeah, I wasn't able to cut her off at all. She knew I wanted to move out (and take my paycheck with me) before the divorce was finalized.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
