I mean, they were an industrial superpower before ww1 and 2. Yeah man don't accuse people of not studying history and then say russia was an industrial superpower. They weren't, most of the people subsided on farming and were basically serfs. Russia politically was almost half feudalistic. Compared to a country like germany or france that did have a communist movement that was put down they were in the dark ages.

The real problem with communism is it never manifested in the manner Marx suggested. There was never a rich industrialized country that had a successful communist revolution. The only countries that have have been poor primarily agricultural countries that have tried to industrialize later and force a classless society in people when really a minority of people support it.

I believe she said it too and a short Google search confirm that she has now said she doesn't support it, usually you only get asked about it if you at one time supported it, however she says she doesn't now. I don't know if I believe her on that but it is what it is.

Isn't she also in favor of gay conversion therapy until recently though. The article won't load for me on mobile so I don't know if they address it but that's a super shitty thing and on some level you can't take the good with the bad there. Really conflicted about this.
