It does happen to men to but it's never my first, second, or tenth response. Also there is a lot of support for female victims of SA, but virtually none for men contemplating suicide.

For years my wife drove sitting on a plank covered cushion or even a brick but the problem with that is that it also lifts your torso up from the floor, which is a problem if your feet only just reach the pedals. She finally found a car she's comfortable in (2011 Civic) but she still drives with the seat all the way forward and the airbags right in front of her chest and face (not good). If I need to drive her car I can't even slide into the gap. The Civic is mostly good for her without addition…

My wife is 5' 1" and has a lot of trouble with seatbelt comfort, even in small cars.

Not just breasts, it's shoulder height differences too. Seatbelt attachment points often can't be adjusted downward far enough. It doesn't mean they don't work for women though.

"When's the last time..." ...around 1998, every couple of weeks when she would binge drink and go into one of her self-described "red rages". I could never let her out of my sight near the kitchen knives when that happened. Every time the police were called to our house and they looked at my injuries vs none on her it was me they asked if I wanted to press charges. When I finally got out after 4 years I had PTSD for a decade.

Someone told me decades ago they had observed that the bonds between opposite sex parents/children is often deeper than for same sex ones. I've seen that to be mostly true since then. Often men who dream of having a son actually find they are closer to their daughters.

This was an actual thing in the past in the West. Men could be sued for "breach of promise" for backing out. Every men-focused program attempted is hounded by radical feminists until it either shuts down or shares focus with women, which always eventually results in a total focus on women. Men are not allowed to create any support systems which don't primarily help women.

Less than one year, and I made it clear that both parents are equally good/bad and that the child must for some reason live exclusively with one parent or the other. Ideally joint custody is preferred and is best for the child but I was speaking specifically of cases where that is not possible. And actually you did in fact agree that the father is not actually entirely as good at that age. What's really funny is that you basically paraphrased my own argument that in the case of equally good/bad …

I regularly feared for my life for over 4 years in my first marriage and at least a half dozen times I was sure I was about to die when she hovered near the kitchen knives during one of her self-described "red rages". "Men just aren’t allowed to have preferences apparently." I've been told online that my preference for taller or slim women is misogynous and that I am a racist for finding women of some races more attractive to me on average than those of other races. I got out of that relationship in 1989. Any references I had from back then are long gone now. Sorry. It's not easy to find good data, even more so today. 99% of search results on domestic violence, even when you ask specifically for male victims, is about female victims and paints men as constant aggressors.

Ask a police officer if female on male abuse exists. They know because they see it all the time. As a victim of female violence in my first marriage serious enough that I often feared she would pick up a kitchen knife and kill me if I took my eyes off her during one of her drunken rages, I am actually not surprised women don't take misandry seriously. "My guy"... it's a fact that some women use threats and attempts of suicide to get what they want... men virtually never do, they just kill themselves. Men can be passive-aggressive too, just not with suicide. Maybe go white-knight somewhere other than a subreddit dedicated to highlighting casual misandry.
/r/EverydayMisandry01/08/24 05:21 PM
11

How many of those female suicide attempts are actually passive-aggressive cries for attention? Generally men who attempt suicide mean it. That's not always true for women. Men tend to use brutally effective methods like guns whereas women usually choose pills which have a built in delay, allowing them to be discovered and "saved".

I didn't mean it as an excuse, just allowing for the possibility they do 4/5 of it because they typically spend more time with their kids than men do due to unbalanced child custody enforcements and the like. The important fact though is that four times as many children are abused (either mentally or physically or both) by their mothers than by their fathers.

It's not just that, but even if men did start most wars, it's ludicrous to claim that most of them were white. Caucasians are 16% of the world population. Every culture on Earth and throughout history has been at war most of the time. There is actually less war on the planet now than has been the norm in the past. White men are not responsible for most wars "since the beginning of time".

They never do the math (or maths as they say over there). England has a population of nearly 68 million. For simplicity lets say half of those are male and 80% are over 18. That is ~27 million adult men. Assuming worst-case from the example of a woman dying at the hands of a man every three days, that is 121 deaths. That means that in a given year you as a woman have 0.00045% chance of being murdered by an adult male. That is not an epidemic. She is 180 times as likely to die from medical mistak…

I was a victim of physical spousal abuse severe enough to fear for my life for four years so I guess that made me a "battered husband". After I got out I studied the issue of female violence for years. I found out that over 70% of domestic violence is female against male, and over 80% of child abuse is by mothers. That didn't mean I looked at every woman as a batterer or child abuser.

It's the claim that ectopic pregnancies are not serious because they usually self-abort before any dangerous complications that's BS. By the time they do that it is often too late and fatalities are common.

I was literally in fear for my life at least a half-dozen times with my first wife. I had the police ask me to press charges dozens of times. Fuck you Jordan.

If this were a town square, a hundred years ago, my neighbour would no doubt get off his arse and help carry my bags or watch my child while I do the return trip to get the second load. If this were 100 years ago you would have been shamed out of polite society for choosing to have a child not only without marriage, but without a partner at all.
