| 3 | Sexism in MedicineI was diagnosed with Graves Disease as well at 22. It was so bad I was at risk for a heart attack and just barely a step above bed rest. I went to a male endocrinologist and he wanted to straight up destroy my thyroid and stick me on medication for the rest of my life. I ended up going to a female one after (by coincidence really, I just wanted a second opinion) who was like fuck that, here's medication and let's see where it takes us. I'm 25 this year and I've been cured for almost 2 years now. | /r/FemaleDatingStrategy | 24/01/21 05:06 AM |
