I just cannot believe the heartlessness of women. I swear to God and Buddha that there needs to be a men's hospice/retreat run by wise men helping the wounded brothers. If I had the money I'd do it in a goddamn heartbeat.

I feel you, brother. When my whore of an (ex)wife cheated, it tore my heart out. I should have left right then and there. You're being a lot smarter and wiser than I was back in the day. Don't let the idiots get you down. Never forget, you're a King.

Not surprised that kitchen looks completely unused.

Thank you VBB for your most kind and understanding reply. I truly hear you about suicide... people usually hand out platitudes like an Oprah sponsored free food buffet but rarely address the underlying issues. The grief over my son is something I have every day, making it very hard to seek self-improvement. I mean, if we're all going to die, a lot of suddenly and brutally, why even bother seeking life improvements? I know there's countless reasons to seek out happiness, it's the big finality of …

The goddamn prevalent situation we have, brothers, is that politics turns everything into a cult of personality instead of addressing the real problem.

Thank you brother. I don't know if I'll ever find happiness again, but it helps a lot to speak to men like you here who truly understand where I'm at.

Thank you Nystuul, and I am sorry to hear about all the grim troubles in your life. I'm very glad you have reconciling with your sons, as difficult as it must be sometimes. I really hear you about the pain from health problems... you're a strong man, and your words lend me strength. All my best, I mean that, brother.

Thank you Dom. I know exercise would help a lot, I just have to get past the "Why Bother, Life Is Shit And I'm Hurting" impulses that keep conflicting with my desire for self-improvement. I wish I could afford a personal trainer, or go on a boot camp-style retreat. I think it would help me a lot. But at the moment I just have myself, and have to work with what I got.

Thank you, Goodman. Your words give me strength. Problem with crawling out of the abyss is, sometimes it gets too comfortable because it numbs the pain. But you're right, I have to claw my way out of it. Thanks again brother.

I'm going to try expressing myself more through new mediums. I'm a writer, although I've hardly written anything since my son's passing. Even though I don't know how to draw or such, I may try painting. It looks relaxing. I have no experience though, so maybe it's time to check out some Bob Ross videos.

That's the problem, half of me wants to fight, to improve, to move on... but the other half, the empty part of me, drags me down every second of every day. It's a horrible internal struggle that is wearing away at my sanity.

I like how you wield words like weapons. You should write more, the world needs more brutal honesty brother. Thank you so much for the kind words.

You're right, if there is an afterlife, I think and hope my son wouldn't want to see me in such pain. I will check out stoicism, thank you genuinely for the kind words and advice brother.

Excellent advice, thank you brother. I try every day to progress a little... not always successful, most days feels like I'm moving through molasses. Your words are very encouraging and I will take them to heart. Thank you again.

Thanks Shimakaze4, much appreciation. I have been trying to find a professional psych but no luck, so I'm going to go to a walk-in counselling place next Tuesday. I hope they help. I'm trying to feel worth it, cheers brother.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
