50Km ultra marathon IS doable. People have run 100Kms before in one go. I think the issue here is marketability. A 50Km isn’t as “prestigious” as 42Km marathon, and there isn’t much distance between them anyway, if someone does 42, they can do 8Kms more. Seems like a waste of time for everyone involved.
