I may have been mislead. I was under the impression that she signed the agreement months before, changed her mind, ran off with the kid, then came back and was forced to sign another agreement. From the pictures I've seen, the second one was most definitely under duress and not at all a legitimate course of events. However, if she agreed to the first one, not under duress...I mean, fuck, it's fucked up that it'll mess up this kid's genitals, but if you willingly sign a legal agreement, that shit…

I'm sorry to burst the bubble here, but didn't she already agree to this? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for protecting the genital integrity of everyone, especially babies, but if she already agreed to let the procedure happen...I can't really finish my thought, but I'm hoping I just said enough that someone understands the sentiment

I used to love Cracked, but I was never a huge fan of their anti-male articles. Eventually, that "5 uncomfortable truths about the men's rights movement". I don't really see why you have to decide to fit in with either if you don't really want to. Just because you detest the right doesn't automatically mean you're left. I'm not saying that you're required to be nonpartisan or independent, because if you feel that the left is really the best place for you, go for it. But I don't really understand feeling like you gotta be one or the other.

Firstly, sorry for the long response. You probably won't even read this, I don't blame you. However, I have to admit it publicly, for myself as much as for anyone - I was wrong. The SPLC didn't label the MRM as a hate movement. They simply implied that some of the MRM was hateful. The way they handled it was pretty douchey, but I was, in fact, wrong. My most sincere apologies.

No, there's a difference. There could be a woman's rights movement that was egalitarian. The difference is that feminists claim that feminism equals equality, and not just women's rights (IMO, it also screws women over in many ways, but the "good" feminists care about women's rights). The MRM usually claims to be about equal rights, but it doesn't pretend that it fights for women's issues. It's called the MRM, that'd be stupid.
