2	Applied creativity Welding is definitely not high visibility, machines are far from taking it over (even production line welding is still difficult to accomplish with robots, and a lot of welding doesn't happen on a production line or anywhere where you can take a robot) and women aren't going to flood the field. All of these reasons are contributing to my decision to save up money and pay for my welding quals from a trade school. For an extra 3K, they'll also teach me how to do that shit underwater.
