Then, why does the data on this not back up what you're saying? Why, when we ask men and women under the age of 30 if they're single or not, do twice as many women than men claim to be in a relationship (roughly 60% and 30%)? There are really only two ways to explain this discrepancy: Either women tend to date older men (which the data on age gaps in relationships confirms) and a lot of the women under the age of 30 are with men outside of that 30 year window OR a large number of women are all i…

You and your friends are not "most women". I really could care less about personal anecdotes. They mean nothing to me. You could personally want to date a 3'4" balding potbellied goblin and it wouldn't have any relevance to what women, as a whole, and, in general, want and prefer. Most women do not care as much about body count as men do and the science backs this up: the reason men, in general, care about it more is because of paternity uncertainty. You, as a woman, know with 100% certainty tha…

It's much easier for women to cheat, though. The average woman can sit down at a bar for a couple of hours and have a handful of men approach them. The staggering majority of men have to put in a massive amount of effort to get women interested in them enough to sleep with them. Most men couldn't cheat, even if they wanted to.

I was told that I was as a child. It wasn't until I was a teenager that I found out I wasn't. Most women don't seem to understand that there's really not that much of a difference in appearance when it comes time to have sex. That's why I chuckle when women talk about how disgusting it is. Most of them are just talking out of their ass. I guess they just expect it to look like an alien's tentacles or something.

What's hilarious is that none of the women I've dated even knew I was uncircumcised until after they had already slept with me. They spew all of this hate and disgust for it, but most of them can't even tell when someone they're literally having sex with hasn't had it done to them.

That's a good point. They basically demand ten times more from us while offering us ten times less. They want us to be 6 feet tall, look like models, work out at the gym and run cardio five times a week, make a six-figure salary, have an expensive car, wear designer clothes, be confident almost to the point of being arrogant, own a house or live in a condo, constantly keep them entertained, buy a bunch of stuff for them, spend a bunch of time with them, etc. Okay, so what do we get in return for…

But our psychology is shaped and molded considerably by biological hardwiring as a result of our evolution as a species. Many people fear the dark, for example, not because of social and cultural norms but because natural selection pounded this instinct into us (predators tended to lurk in the dark and the animals that feared the dark tended to survive and propagate their genes better). I never learned to fear heights or spiders, for example. I did for as long as I could remember. Many people ar…

And all of that stuff, from the point of view of the people watching it, know that all of the parties involved have consented, so what's your point? The person viewing it is fully aware (or, at least, believes) that all of the parties have consented...
/r/MensRights06/05/24 05:23 PM

I'd describe the differences as what they're literally called: consensual rough sex is rough sex where all parties involved have consented and non-consensual rough sex is rough sex where at least one of the parties involved have not consented. And, like I said earlier in a different comment, you basically have to go onto the dark web to knowingly find pornography of the latter nature. You may stumble upon it unknowingly, but this is a moot point: if you didn't know all of the parties have consen…

No, it isn't. The actors and actresses involved have consented to it, so it is not non-consensual. And your second point is moot: if someone is watching porn with the understanding that all of those involved have consented, it really doesn't matter if they actually haven't. The person watching it is not aware of this and it doesn't factor into why they searched for it... Here's the reason why what you're suggesting is literally insane: Let's say my girlfriend and I have a rape fantasy. Let's say…

And, once again, all of that stuff is consensual, too. Do you seriously think the actors and actresses aren't consenting to that stuff? Do you think that women who engage in rape fantasies with their partners aren't consenting to it when they're pretending to scream or try to get away? You're just making shit up, at this point.

So beyond it being a near negligence feature, there is the additional fact that men & women don’t conceptualize or consume the same types of rough sex, which contrasts the original claim that women consume more violent porn. I'm so confused by this. Unless the study is based entirely on self-reporting, this would have to mean that you're seriously suggesting that the authors of the study used different definitions of what constituted pornography featuring rough sex, depending on whether or not t…

Can you give us an example of this supposed "non-consensual violent porn" you keep claiming men frequently consume? Are you suggesting that the majority of men are accessing the dark web and watching red rooms or something? What do you even mean by this because it seems to me that you're just making shit up, at this point.

Probability sampling is the only way for obtaining generalizability to a larger population. That’s a non-negotiable point. Similarly, to make the point you want to make you need consumption data. Once again, I never said anything about the validity of the above source. My point, as I've already explained, was that your source didn't refute or invalidate it. You still haven't addressed this point. Are you going to address it or are you going to keep pointing fingers at the person you responded to…

Ah, I gotcha. Yes, the slasher movie example makes a lot of sense. Oh, so it's actually a fairly common thing? That makes sense, then. I didn't mind it at all and I was happy to fulfill their fantasies. I guess I kind of implied it was a bad thing, so I should've made that more clear.

It's an incredibly complex situation with a ton of different factors causing it, but we can go through the biggest ones. The invention of hormonal birth control was actually when a lot of this nonsense started. Before that, women couldn't really engage in hookup culture even though they always wanted to. Society shamed them for it, and, even if they didn't care about that and wanted to go against the grain, condoms broke more easily, weren't as reliable, etc. So, they might've wanted to hook up …

I know my personal anecdotes don't really demonstrate anything, but literally every woman I've ever dated was into BDSM, had rape fantasies, wanted me to tie them up, wanted to be gagged, wanted to be choked, etc. And it's not like I'm intentionally going for women like this or asking about that stuff on the first date or introducing it to them during the relationship. Unless I'm unintentionally catching the eye of women like this (I'm not sure how that would even happen), I think it's fairly sa…

The OPs source is a non-probability sample so no generalizability and it doesn’t empirically show actual consumption patterns. Doesn't matter. Again, even if the above source isn't generalizable and doesn't empirically show actual consumption patterns and whatever other straws you'd reach for, my point still stands. You tried to use your source (which really isn't any better than the above one) to invalidate it. It, on its own, doesn't. That was my point. Both could be true, at the same time. Ag…

The source you've provided doesn't actually refute the one provided above. Just because the top search result for women is lesbian porn doesn't mean they don't also search for violent pornography more than men. To use an analogy, hypothetically, women could buy more makeup than anything else, but they could also buy conditioner more than men do. See how that works? Both of these things can be true, so I'm not sure how this refutes the idea that women are more into bondage, rape fantasies, chokin…

Yep, unfortunately, the way to win the battle in this case is to negatively reinforce the bad behavior: ignore them and let them be selected out of the gene pool. They'll either realize they have to be ladies and behave respectfully or double down on it and become even more bat shit crazy. Either way, it's a win-win. We'll either get more "pick me's" that are actually willing to behave in a way that's attractive to the opposite gender just as men have been doing since the beginning of time or th…

Oh definitely. I was just pointing out that being told you're beautiful constantly every day and matching with every person you swipe right on kind of makes you think you're more attractive than you really are, and thus makes you think that average men aren't on your level. Kind of like how a person born into a lavish lifestyle might eventually find food from an average steakhouse disgusting even though it's objectively not disgusting at all. Nah, they're repulsed and disguised by you. This clearly a 'you' problem. You realize that, statistically, women find 80% of men to be unattractive and undateable, right? That literally means the average woman is repulsed and disgusted at the thought of dating the staggering majority of men. I'm not just solipsistically talking about my own personal experiences and projecting them onto the world. If I did that, I'd assume most men have no trouble getting women interested in them because that's b…

The real standards that men have now is unsurprisingly incredibly high. Be at least average-looking, don't be masculine, don't nag me all the time, and don't be a hoe aren't exactly standards I'd call "incredibly high". Top-tier men have high standards, but that's about all the average man asks for in return for the insane amount of work they have to put in. The problem is that average women don't want average men. They're repulsed and disgusted by them. And, until that changes, marriage rates w…

I ask because according to this sub all we care about is a 7 ft tall, muscle bound, 5 o’ clock shadow wearing, protein drinking, douche bag Chad on here. According to dating app statistics, the majority of women set the minimum height to be 6 feet. That leaves out 83% of men. According to a peer-reviewed study, they also expect a man to make about 56% more money than them. Since the average woman makes about 25k, that means the average woman expects a man to make at least 40k. That leaves out a …

And that's completely fine. We're totally okay with you basically being a female version of a MGTOW and going your own way. No one's going to be missing you, honey. And nothing you say is going to change how men's minds work. We're still going to view women with high body counts as unattractive. Don't like it? Tough. What you like is irrelevant. Sorry, but men and women aren't the same. We don't play by the same rules. A man who sleeps around in his 20's and then wants to settle down in his 30's isn't going to struggle as much as a woman who did the same thing and you know it. Women just don't care as much as men do about body counts. And you can say that no woman wants a "man-slut" all you want, but you guys keep flocking to them. There's a couple of reasons for this. Generally speaking, women are sheepish. They tend to follow the herd. When most women are asked what they're looking for in men, they usually just say whatever is politically correct ("I just want a nice guy to give me flowers and write me poetry!"). They almost never answer the question the way a man would ("I want a young, beautiful, loyal, submissive woman."). Also, women don't really know what they want. Passport bros is a great strategy for now agreed. It's just that it won't last much longer. Even if you married one today and lived the rest of your life in that country westernization is spreading so fast in so many subtle insidious ways that I've heard even married women are changing. It's not like you get a free pause time button, women will change over time with society unfortunately, let alone their daughters. Well, that's why I pick countries with traditional women in them. That could be a solution, I'm all for contracts. Stop making divorce and child support an automatic sexist financial win for women and things would be better even without shame. It's true that a few women are now forced to pay alimony themselves but exceptions don't make the rule and women don't typically marry down. So what's actually needed then it sounds like is.. male chastity lmfao, men not giving women any money unless they're wed in a fair contract...i don't see that happening. Mgtow , re…

I'm aware and agree but if it's inevitable and women can't grow and overcome their nature to an extent like men have then tbh then I'm not attracted to them and don't care what they do. Just like women are only attracted to 1-10% of men then i'm only attracted to the few women who are more evolved than a mindless primate with no forethought or self awareness. It's sad to say, but I think this is just how women are. Women have always been these manipulative, deceitful, hypergamous creatures that …

I'm a believer of freedom - if this is what women naturally want - zero responsibility, complete privilege, then it's what they'll naturally do given the freedom. The problem is that the decisions they're making are degrading societal structures. It's akin to giving a child the freedom to eat whatever they want at dinner. Are you going to be surprised that they reach for cake, ice cream, and cookies? Things like religion, shame, tradition, guilt, family, etc. acted as checks and balances on fema…

Yeah, the passport bro strategy is the one I'm currently using, and it seems to be working quite well. I can't even begin to describe how much of a breath of fresh air it is to talk to traditional women from other countries. You know how modern women essentially treat you like an annoying rash whenever you try to approach them? Like they're a literal actual goddess being forced to interact with a walking sentient disease? Well, with the foreign women I've talked to, it's the complete opposite. M…

Very few women are demanding that men be traditional. Except for the fact that they actually are, in fact, doing exactly that. Women still want men to be providers and protectors. You still overwhelmingly select men who are tall, muscular, rich, handsome, dominant, intelligent, etc. the same way you've always been doing, so women, in general, still choose traditional men. Your standards and preferences havent adapted like youve claimed. Women, for the most part, hate the men going 50/50 on dates…

Men already are adapting... just not in the way feminists wanted: only a tiny percentage of men are actually seeking a serious relationship with you guys at this point. Most men are either pumping and dumping you guys or refusing to date at all and living a life for themselves. This is the inevitable consequence of your behavior. When you demand that men be traditional while refusing to do the same, you're essentially trying to force us to play by rules you consistently break on a daily basis. M…

You're spot on with the knowing what's appropriate in the moment. Instead of being silent unless spoken to, I should have said that you shouldn't embarrass him in public because you're representing him. If you say something that embarrasses him or whatever, that will reflect badly on him. And a lot of modern women don't know, or care really, about this. They'll say whatever they want and complain it's "controlling" for a man to put boundaries on behavior he's willing to accept, even though they …

No problem :) Another thing I'd add is that I think women also assume men are just as picky as they are when it comes to physical attractiveness. Some men may be, but most aren't. Personally, I care a lot more about personality traits. I'd choose a feminine, submissive, more average-looking woman over a masculine, rambunctious, combative, model in a heart beat. Especially when it comes to marriage (men are usually asking themselves in the back of their mind "is she going to be a good mother to m…

What things must women do to attract a top-tier man? Well, the important thing to remember is that attraction is definitely not symmetrical between the genders. Women often make the mistake of thinking men look for the same things as they do. In particular, women tend to think men care about things like social status, education, income level, etc. We really don't. These things may factor in somewhat into our attraction, but they're not even close to the major components. And sometimes, these thi…

Then, don't. Who's forcing you? Be single or better yet: get one of those simpy broke losers who wants everything 50/50 that none of you actually want to be with. The fact of the matter is that this is what men deal with all the time: welcome to reality, where we ALL do a bunch of stuff that we don't want to do. Yes, you are very highly motivated to believe that there could be a third option. But you refuse to name it. I actually did, though. I said that it's entirely possible that people of different ethnic backgrounds have genetic differences that may result in disproportionate outcomes when it comes to jobs, the same way the genetic differences involved in sex do. That's a potential third option. And, again, I don't actually have to demonstrate anything. You do. You're the one making the claim here. …

That would be the white leadership whose existence you question. The people in leadership positions. Who are, generally speaking, white. Just because they happen to hold a disproportionate share of the top, doesn't mean they're systemically oppressing non-whites and preventing them from entering certain jobs which is what you implied this "white leadership" is doing earlier. This would be like me saying that there is a disproportionately large percentage of men in STEM and that therefore those m…

Well, we were talking about race, not sex. I'm well aware of that. I was using sex as an example of what I'm talking about. The example I gave shows that genetic differences can cause disproportionate outcomes when it comes to jobs. In other words, when it comes to sex, there's nothing to "fix" when it comes to men and women in the workforce. Men and women, in general, aren't interested in working the same jobs and that's completely fine. Wouldn't you say it's entirely possible that other kinds …

Why must it be proportional? Why insist on that? If most women aren't studying and going to college to be engineers, should we just hire unqualified women to be engineers just to make it 50/50? There's a difference between polishing up a little and changing your personality. I know I'm not what traditional men want in a partner. I'm ambitious, don't like being a housewife, I'm not submissive and want an equal partnership. Pretending to be those things to find a husband would only make both of us miserable, so better not to. What do you think is in romance novels? Hint- it's fucking, described in explicit detail. Sometimes with multiple partners. Maybe a small percentage of them involve that, but the majority of them (the ones being read by most women) are what I've described. That very much depends on what your standards are. If I want a man who's attractive and gainfully employed, plus has a good personality and values, that helps the situation quite a lot. I would agree. Unfortunately, what tends to happen is this: what women say they prefer, what women think they prefer, and what women actually positively respond to are all completely different categories. I'm curious-what do you think is the reason that poor women marry less often than rich women? Since it's so easy for them to find wealthy men to marry, why don't they? Because there are other factors involved that make things more complicated. If you're talking about people struggling to pay the bills and live day to day, most experts think the stress involved with that kind of lifestyle causes arguments and exacerbates problems between partners, eventually leading to more breakups and divorces.…

You've got to be kidding. There's an entire genre of literature built around selling smutty stories to women so they can fantasize about being seduced by a cowboy/fae prince/dom/insert favorite archetype here. The romance section at Barnes and Noble is bigger than any other fiction genre. Because people choose poorly, mostly. And since women choose the men they go on dates with, I think women need to be held more accountable for that. Spoken like someone who sees people as numbers instead of individuals. That's kind of what women, in general, do, though, isn't it? I mean, you need a guy to be a certain height, make a certain amount of money, etc. to consider dating them, right? How about we not shame and bully each other for wanting and liking certain things in relationships, okay? It's very simple- people like having a partner. They enjoy being with one person and building that relationship. Wealthier people are actually mor…

And to your last point, I would argue that men aren't restricted by socioeconomic status, though. Men can, often do, and are much more willing to date down. This is why restricting the calculation to people within similar socioeconomic classes wouldn't be accurate. An engineer or a doctor would gladly date a woman who worked at Subway or a coffee shop, but the staggering majority of women would not be willing to do so. For example, let's say there's 100 single men and 100 single women. Just beca…

I mean, it's literally going off of census data, so it does give you an accurate estimate of how rare a particular kind of guy is. I wouldn't pay attention to the cat lady stuff. Obviously, the creator is just trying to be funny and ruffle some feathers. I think one of the main reasons this calculator was designed was to show the women claiming men are just as picky as women are that they're wrong (some feminists claim this, believe it or not). Women are definitely pickier than men, and that's t…

So expecting men to be single is "standards too high?" Previous poster isn't wrong- that's the main limiting factor. It depends. When combined with other stats that are uncommon, it can be, yeah. If you want someone who's over 6 feet tall, makes well over the average salary for a man in the U.S., isn't obese, etc., yeah, most men like that are going to be already taken, more often than not, because there's a not a lot of men like that out there. I can practically throw a rock at random and hit a…

Yeah. I mean what else do you expect these men to do when a significant percentage of women refuse to date men under 6 feet tall, for example? Even though 85% of men are below that height? And that's just one of the check boxes women have. I think you misunderstood. I'm not one of these men. I'm saying that most men out there take whatever they can get. I don't actually struggle with dating. I've never really approached women that much, but I've been in two long-term relationships that lasted ar…

I mean, a third of men between the ages of 18 to 30 are either virgins or haven't had sex in over a year. You have to remember that the average guy right now is a man who's about 5'8", has a dad bod and probably a pot belly, is someone you'd consider ugly, only makes about 36,000$ a year and lives week to week on that, lives in a shitty apartment, etc. They can't be picky. If they were, they'd never have sex or date anyone. Statistical data from dating apps show exactly what I'm talking about. M…

How does that make sense, though? Women are only attracted to you when you meet all of those requirements. You're seriously suggesting that I could be a 4'6" 300 pound man who's broke and if I had a handsome enough face, a woman would still be willing to date me? That's ludicrous.
/r/MensRights12/09/23 09:51 PM

Yeah, the older women get, the more likely they are already taken or were taken at some point.
/r/MensRights12/09/23 09:49 PM

There is, but most men are unbelievably easy to please, despite what most women would think. I think women tend to assume attraction is symmetrical between the genders and men are just as picky as they are. For the majority of men, their only criteria is basically "don't be obese" and that's about it.

Not really. For every one of you, there are probably a lot of other women that never found a man even close to what you did. Remember that your personal experiences do not necessarily reflect reality. This would be like a man finding a diamond and believing that diamonds must not be that rare if he was able to find one, ignoring all of the other people that never did. Cherish your man. You got lucky.

I personally don't care about how large a woman's breasts are or how much money she makes. If anything, women that make a lot of money are a turn-off to me.

I was just about to say that. Beat me to it. I bet it will win and people will claim it's a timeless masterpiece.

It’s not women’s fault that now that they have options, they found that the vast majority of men they encounter are less appealing than ending up single. I agree it's not womens fault. But it's not men's fault either. Society is currently pushing the "most men are socially awkward, toxic, misogynistic, etc. and that's why record high numbers of women are single". Most polls show that almost two-thirds of men (a little over 60%, I believe) have completely stopped approaching women, using dating a…

I think part of the problem is that women today, having lived in a privileged existence compared to what even their mothers lived in (women in developed countries are rarely victims of physical violence anymore despite what the media would have you believe), have pretty much forgotten the kind of violence men are capable of. Feminists like to portray men as essentially women in Halloween costumes (that we don't just deserve to be treated equal under the law, but that we're actually the same). Th…

Neither. Women should be more cautious when it makes sense to be. Men are more likely to be victims of violent crimes than women are, but you're not going to see me treating every man I run into on the street like a deranged psychopath. If you're in public and you walk past a man, it makes absolutely no sense to be fearful. What do you think is going to happen in that case? They're just going to attack you in public surrounded by people? If you're out at night or in an alleyway, absolutely be ca…

I've had this happen in an apartment complex I used to live in so many times. There was one woman who repeatedly did this to me. She'd act like I was a serial killer every time she got onto the elevator with me. At one point, I just got tired of this bullshit and flipped the script just to mess with her. As soon as she entered the elevator, I immediately slammed myself into the corner as far away from her as I could possibly get and began faking an axiety attack. As soon as the elevator door ope…

I cannot tell you how many men, even on this sub, have asserted men don’t care about a woman’s education, career, sense of humor, etc they only care if you are young, beautiful and chaste. And women are generally attracted to men that are tall, handsome, muscular, rich, etc. But it's only male preferences that are inherently toxic because... idk reasons, I guess. Men and women are attracted to these things because evolution pounded these preferences into us for the past two hundred thousand year…

Haha is there ever a time where you're not in backwards world? The deranged lunatic here is YOU. You know. The one who supports mutilating the genitals of infants lol. How old are you? 12? Lol "us" refers to the overwhelming majority of people in the first world. The U.S. and Israel are really the only first world countries that routinely mutilate the genitals of their babies. The other first world countries see circumcision for what it really is: a barbaric religiously-motivated blood sacrifice…

Do I need to cite the data? Yup. My point was YOU are the one accepting anecdotes and, if you're being consistent, you'd also have to accept anecdotes of men losing sensitivity. Again, I don't accept anecdotes. I accept data. And there's no reliable data showing circumcised men have similar levels of sensitivity to intact men. Not even close. Because apparently you believe anecdotes over data. How so? YOU are the one citing anecdotes. If you believe the ones about men retaining their sensitivity…

Smaller penis? Huh? Yup. If I take a bite from an apple, what's leftover is now smaller. That's basic logic. If a part of your penis was removed, it's now smaller. Why is this confusing? They do not remove any of the actual penis, ie meat in the shaft just the "hat" lol. What is this nonsense? The foreskin IS part of the "actual penis", by definition. Are your lips not part of your "actual face"? If it's not a part of the penis, what is it a part of? Less sensitive? Maybe, I still get off she st…

I don't understand the problem. I had my clitoris and labia removed as an infant and have never had an issue and am happy it was done. I still have lots of pleasure during sex and I have no pain. When I was a kid a family friend got a nasty infection, in her labia, due to poor hygiene granted she should have been taught better/been more thorough, but in her case it would have benefited her to be snipped. My mother had her clit and labia removed in her adult years, around when I was born, and whe…

Well MarriedEngineer said it, so it must be true! I guess it's settled then! If that's the case, why is there so many people commenting on this post claiming to have lost sensitivity? Why are there men commenting on this post saying they regret getting circumcised? Why do the overwhelming majority of studies in the first world suggest otherwise?

Umm, the science is clear on all the health benefits. There are tons. Not really. You have a few studies done in the third world (by countries where most men are circumcised and there's clearly a bias) with questionable methodologies that show there's barely health benefits. Most of the "science" you're referring to were studies done by Brian Morris (a deranged psychopath who somehow received a PhD), a circumfetishist who believes every country on the planet should make circumcision mandatory fo…

I just sort of assumed it was just something everyone did? Yeah no. The majority of men are not mutilated at birth. Over two thirds of men are intact. Most circumcised men reside in the U.S., Israel, and the Middle East.
