Even though I’m approaching 40, I’m still trying to “find” myself on this one. I had a live together relationship that ended about 12 years ago because she was in a bad relationship with this other dude and wanted out. She pretended to love me but ultimately told me she cares about me but wasn’t “in love” with me. She never actually asked me for things though either. I always viewed the concepts often presented here to be the opposite. Seems to me men who can find peace in their OWN lives value the things they earn even more, and don’t throw money out the window in hopes of similar getting a little attention from someone else. They are skilled (moreso than myself I’m sure) at taking care of #1, literal independence. What’s the problem?

You’re either a really bad kisser or more likely you somehow didn’t live up to one of her expectations which in itself is probably unrealistic. Be the perfect dream or don’t bother, this is just the reality of dating, and I’d wager one state of being is far more worthwhile than the other.

You know, it’s funny that I was just in a different thread and conversation awhile ago where someone was trying to explain to me why they think the “casual”/hookup/Tinder culture is perfectly OK whereas I don’t. This song just reaffirmed that I’m not actually not completely out of line in feeling that it isn’t.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
