Exercising when out of shapeThank you for your advice. I probably did increase my calorie intake during my deployment, not realizing what I was doing. It was years ago, so I honestly don't remember for sure. During basic I was eating the same thing pretty much every day, and they rationed it out for us, so I really wasn't able to increase my calorie intake. That's part of the reason I didn't understand why I had gained during basic, except that perhaps I put on muscle. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 06:25 PM
Exercising when out of shapeI've thought about dancing. This is something I need to look more at. I do love dancing, we don't have much space at my house but we do a lot of it outside in the summer. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 12:25 PM
Exercising when out of shapeYour body wants to remain where it is weightwise if you have been at that weight for awhile. As soon as you dip under that weight, your body will take steps to get its lost fat back. Your brain will release hormones to make you want sweet, salty, and carby foods lol. I take fish oil to help with these cravings, but you have to mentally push through and tell your brain to quit it. This is what happens when I try to cut back on what I'm eating (which isn't much to begin with). I guess I just need … | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 12:24 PM
Exercising when out of shapeYeah. So far the only thing I've found is swimming, and that's just not fiscally possible right now. I guess I really just need to suck it up. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 12:21 PM
Exercising when out of shapeI will download that. Thank you for the suggestion! | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 12:20 PM
Exercising when out of shapeI think a lot of the weight gain is muscle. As far as eating too much, I really can't. On pizza night (about once a month) I can eat one piece of pizza if it's average size, and then I don't eat anymore because I'm full. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 12:19 PM
Exercising when out of shapeI am on a regular schedule (including sleep), and I make it a point to cook healthy meals for our family. Working out is the only real issue I seem to have. When I was in the military, they forced us to eat healthy, all of our calories were watched in training, drinking lots of water, etc. | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/02/17 12:18 PM
Valentine's Day DiscussionWe do the same thing every year. A glass of red wine and Return of the Living Dead. | /r/RedPillWomen | 24/01/17 06:11 PM
Anyone else have an ADHD captain? He does feel bad about it. You know, we both started this normal "settle down with our kids" stuff pretty late. His ex wife was a drug addict the entire ten years they were together, my ex was verbally and mentally abusive to the point where I came out of the relationship with the anxiety disorder I described above. So we both have some serious baggage to work through. I get that's going to take time, and it's worth it to me. | /r/RedPillWomen | 20/01/17 12:28 PM
Anyone else have an ADHD captain?Sometimes it seems that way, but it's not so bad because he loves me deeply and actually does care about my feelings. So if he says something hurtful, I usually just overlook it for a while, until he realizes he's said it. After a while if he hasn't acknowledged it or apologized I realize he either didn't realize he hurt my feelings or he said exactly what he meant (and didn't mean it as a personal attack) so I will bring it to his attention and see what he does. The bad times are getting better… | /r/RedPillWomen | 19/01/17 02:25 AM
Unknowingly been on Red Pill my whole dating lifeI know. It really is strange. | /r/RedPillWomen | 18/01/17 08:33 PM
Turn Ons + Turn OffsI'm also totally on board with your list, except I love my husband's long hair and his beard. I would like it even fuller but it annoys him. | /r/RedPillWives | 18/01/17 07:30 PM
Anyone else have an ADHD captain? My husband was diagnosed with ADHD and OCD. The OCD takes care of the ADHD, but also means he tends to micromanage a lot. It drives me crazy, because I have ADD and GAD, and I can be very careless and make silly mistakes if my anxiety is high. He doesn't appear to understand that his OCD means he notices so much more of EVERYTHING, and he has to make an effort not to micromanage, and my ADD means I miss a lot. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who has to improve and he doesn't. He's not wro… | /r/RedPillWomen | 18/01/17 06:30 PM
Unknowingly been on Red Pill my whole dating lifeI'm in the same boat. Been of RP mentality for pretty much my entire dating life, but couldn't put it into words until finding TRP. My friends used to tell me I was domesticated with a snide attitude too. It was hard for me to deal with the way they were talking so I brushed it off as a joke and chose to laugh with them rather than get laughed at. The Surrendered Wife is a great book. I have the audio version and I love it. One of my favorite things about this community (coming from the stance o… | /r/RedPillWomen | 18/01/17 06:16 PM
Being a RPWMy phone, the Android version of reddit, is acting up. I didn't intend to delete my comment, but for the curious, I said I can't decide if she's being serious or trying to be facetious. | /r/RedPillWomen | 15/01/17 10:44 PM
Being a RPWRight? I can't decide what's actually going on in this post, if she's serious or if she's trying to be facetious. | /r/RedPillWomen | 15/01/17 10:08 PM
I cried when I read the finance section of "The Surrendered Wife" ... but how much should I REALLY back off? And other questions about the book.My husband has always been big on us doing it together. If I do it by myself he doesn't like not knowing what's going on, when he does it by himself it makes him feel like we are less of a team. We do have a pretty standard routine down, so if one of us has to do it alone it can be done. | /r/RedPillWomen | 12/01/17 02:01 AM
Stop being a butthole wifeI am not religious at all, but this article was wonderful. Now I want to give my husband a big hug. | /r/RedPillWives | 10/01/17 03:54 PM
Simple Questions - January 07, 2017The thing that hurts about the cheating (for me) is the lying. You don't lie to people who deserve your respect. If I have come to a point where I no longer deserve his respect, not only would I forgive him for cheating, I would fully expect him to divorce me. Especially since I know that if I am that far gone he would already have done everything in his power to both make me aware of it and help me get better. | /r/RedPillWives | 10/01/17 01:51 PM
Questions about motherhoodSo, how old are you, roughly? You don't have to be exact if you don't want to. In my 30's. What's your relationship status? Also, how many years? Married 3 years, together 5 Do you have kids already, and if so, how many, how old, etc. How old were you when you had your first? Feel free to elaborate on your kiddos, any way you want. :) We have 6 ranging from 3-17. 17 yr old is "adopted", the rest are a part of our blended family, 2 his, 2 mine, and the 3 yr old is ours together. I was 17 when I h… | /r/RedPillWives | 09/01/17 07:21 PM
I am delightfully confused, new to this sub and have some questionsIt's not for them. If I act rowdy and rough at work as a habit, I tend to bring it home. It makes the transition harder for me because I have to really work hard to be feminine. I wasn't raised to be feminine, my mother was also military and had a large amount of pride in that she was quite manly and not feminine at all. She could dress up once in a while and play pretend, but there wasn't a feminine bone in her body. My grandmother was raised on a farm; she turned out a little more feminine but… | /r/RedPillWomen | 09/01/17 12:22 PM
"Whatever you think"That's something I didn't think about. I'll give it a try then 😊 | /r/RedPillWomen | 07/01/17 07:49 PM
"Whatever you think"He definitely does what he wants. There's no question there, he's very strong willed so luckily I don't have to worry about that. I'm on the other sub...Good information there. Perhaps I will pose this question in the form of a new topic. | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/01/17 05:05 PM
"Whatever you think"I listened to the audio version. This was one part Ive had a very hard time on, because I often say "it's up to you" and it drives my husband crazy. He wants me to have an opinion and express it and is bothered when I do not. Is there a difference between "whatever you think" and "it's up to you?" | /r/RedPillWomen | 06/01/17 01:12 PM
How to stay happily married? - College class discussionMost of these suggestions are about what happens before you get married, but they really aren't answering the question. The question wasn't about the best way to get married, it's about how to stay married. Both partners should contribute to the household. It doesn't have to be perfectly equal, but it certainly shouldn't be overtly one-sided in either direction. To that point, don't keep a tally. Understand that forgiveness means what it says, and don't hold grudges. That person you believe is p… | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/01/17 04:57 PM
I am delightfully confused, new to this sub and have some questionsOne of the more interesting things is that my coworkers don't even notice it, it's just little things that I change. I'm still the hardest person I know of to offend, I still take the jokes in stride (and dish them out!), I just try to do it in a feminine way now which is something I didn't do before. | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/01/17 04:48 PM
I am delightfully confused, new to this sub and have some questionsOh my, other than your location your story could have been mine. Let me explain. I too was very promiscuous and sought out relationships similar to the ones you did. I spent 9 years in the military and entered a male dominated career field. I currently work in a small woodshop with 8 guys. I am the only female and I am the youngest. I do engineering drawings and run a CNC machine, which means much of my days are spent hauling around 4x8 sheets of plywood. I LOVE my job. But it is SO hard to have… | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/01/17 03:22 PM
Ways to encourage my husband?I have nothing to contribute to your statement but I wanted to say hello from a fellow veteran! :) | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/01/17 03:05 PM
Ways to encourage my husband? My husband is going through almost the same exact thing. In addition to the layoffs, his new supervisor had the entire department written up because he (supervisor) didn't want to take the heat for his (supervisor again) mistake. It really bummed him out because it killed his hopes that he would be able to move up. My husband is also a very hard-working man. I listen to him when he needs to talk. I ask him how things are going but I respect if he doesn't want to talk about it. I also work outsid… | /r/RedPillWomen | 05/01/17 03:04 PM
GratituesdayGood idea! I will definitely be looking into that. | /r/RedPillWives | 03/01/17 04:44 PM
Simple QuestionsMy mother was extremely masculine, and I have very few examples in my life of femininity. What can I do to be more feminine? | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/01/17 04:44 PM
Supporting vs controlling--why is this confusing to me?OP informed me that my comment was deleted. Sometimes my phone posts three or four copies, and I try to catch them and delete them all, which once in a while results in all of them being deleted. She was thoughtful enough to message me and copy and paste what I wrote back to me, thanks OP! Here is my original comment in response to this post: We have a similar situation. When my husband is doing something nice for me, he will step in and take care of the kids or housework and allow me to relax b… | /r/RedPillWomen | 03/01/17 04:14 PM
GratituesdaySure. We are a non-religious family, and we didn't like the idea of "hijacking" a religious holiday, but we didn't want our kids to miss out on the fun either. So we began celebrating the winter solstice. We actually take the day off work (21st), adopt some generic pagan traditions such as the yule log, and have a great family dinner with whom we call "the family we got to pick", close friends that are like family. We are still exploring how exactly we would like to celebrate these days (there a… | /r/RedPillWives | 03/01/17 04:11 PM
GratituesdayI am grateful that my husband helps me around the house and with the kids. I am grateful that we have found creative ways to celebrate the holidays with our kids that align with our ideals. I am grateful that my 3 yr old is finally learning to stop throwing tantrums. | /r/RedPillWives | 03/01/17 03:43 PM
Relationship issue and training your man?Sure. There's a technique called diaphragmatic breathing. It's essentially taking deep breaths to calm yourself down (like they taught us as kids) but understanding how it works helped me. When you are upset, your breathing unconsciously becomes more shallow, and you take shorter breaths. The reason for this is the part of your brain that deals with emotion and fight or flight needs very little oxygen to function. When you take deep breaths, you are essentially forcing oxygen into the part of yo… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/12/16 12:39 PM
Relationship issue and training your man?I am very new to RPW, but not to being emotionally sensitive. My husband developed a bad habit in his previous relationship (a very toxic marriage) of being very nasty during arguments. When I say nasty, I mean he said things I would never dream of ever saying to him. Vulgar, terrible, mean and hateful things. He told me when we got together that he had an anger issue and that he would work on it. Over time, I learned to not take it personally and not internalize it. What I learned to do was dea… | /r/RedPillWomen | 29/12/16 01:46 AM
Housewives vs working wivesShe isnt being used, she's being taught responsibility and makes money for her work (as in we pay her, of course). Meanwhile she's a straight A student with a second job which she insisted on getting. She has her own car and pays her own insurance and phone bill, all her own choices, no one told her she had to, again she insisted (sometimes against our wishes). She has already set up a room to rent for when she turns 18 in two months. She likes the responsibility, she likes feeling grown up. She… | /r/RedPillWomen | 28/12/16 12:09 AM
Housewives vs working wivesI can't say what's better for everyone else, but for us we have 6 kids and I need to work. I feel it would be better for the kids if I could be at home but we don't have that luxury. We do make up for it, only family or our 17 yr old watches the kids for us, so it's always someone they know and we know there with them. | /r/RedPillWomen | 24/12/16 01:50 PM
Number of PartnersI doubt I could help you much on the "norms" front, as I'm certain I differ far from the norm. I only discovered TRP and RPW recently and I've been married for 3 years. But I thought I would chime in and at least answer your questions. "How important is your SO's sexual past? Do you want to know his n-count? What's the deal breaker number?" Overall, it really isn't that important. As long as he's clean and he wants to be with me it doesn't matter to me. My husband and I pretty much talk about ev… | /r/RedPillWomen | 22/12/16 06:53 PM
RPW HAS REACHED 1700+ SUBSCRIBERS!!!! NEW MEMBERS AND LURKERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF :DOkay, I was planning on remaining a lurker a while longer but here goes. I'm a 31 yr old wife to a 34 yr old brilliant man. He's my best friend and the light of my life. We have 6 beautiful children. Our oldest is adopted so if I sound way too young to have a kid that old that's why (she's 17). I discovered Red pill after we got married. He is the leader in our relationship and I've always preferred it that way but I didn't know there was a name for it until now. I am a little more...liberal...t… | /r/RedPillWives | 16/12/16 11:09 PM
