Getting them to discuss how they genuinely feel is like pulling teeth. Don't wanna endanger those car payments, they don't buy themselves

Yeah this is kinda what mine did, once i was finally for it she back tracked like crazy. “We are fine, trust me” Less than a year later she was fucking someone from work and moved in with him, so beware. They say they want a divorce so youll kiss their ass while they go guy shopping, then when you are ready to pull the plug they go into gaslight mode and the shopping continues with WAY lower standards. At that point its any warm body that tells her shes pretty On a funny note it blew up (in sub …

It sucks, nobody wants some jaba the hut as a wife. But if they start actively trying to lose weight seemingly out of nowhere, beware.

this is entirely true, it is definitely not lost on me either. part of the internal struggle, knowing that you want that person back but the person never existed how you perceived them. lots of internalized conversation with yourself, constant new revelations that send you tumbling. i saw a video that said you keep connecting dots for awhile as you remember things that seemed off at the time but were small enough you just put them in the "oh well" pile and moved on. another piece of the puzzle

appreciate it, its definitely a process. lots of introspective hard truths. you hang in there yourself, they say it gets better lol
/r/Divorce_Men06/03/24 02:57 PM

same thing. like, i know i should be over her, she is over me BUT shes dangling herself like a carrot trying to keep me on the back burner in case the new guy leaves, which he probably will. so its been...challenging. and i cant lie, the thought of just resuming where we left off and having that person present again is fucking with my heart because i want it deep down somewhere. but its so fucking toxic it has me in shambles recently. and i had already reached a point i was over it and felt immu…

i havent had to do the dating thing in 16ish years, its a fucking disaster now. its a whole new language and has turned into something resembling a board game crossed with an intense interview process. honestly thinking about bowing out for awhile even though i really want another person. i had one i was talking to that seemed genuinely interested and excited to talk to me, but she decided otherwise and threw out some therapy vocab and that was that. she made me feel normal and like happiness wa…

this is true, trying to chat on those is a fucking disaster. i remember the internet dating/chatting thing being sooooo much better a decade or two ago. this shit is a hassle

that is actually a pretty good comparison lol. its only like that because its still fresh, a year from now it probably wont be the same. and the fact i was buying the whole charade but she dropped it right when i found out, went out with the dude that same evening. like getting alcohol in a cut

mine that im having problems with is letters she wrote me, two in particular were birthday card and anniversary card less than 60 days before i found out that she was cheating, saying shit like "im yours forever" and what not whenever i run across those my stomach turns and eyes well up. its lame. i feel you on the last part, one day youre cruising along just fine, next its back to the beginning of the roller coaster again. the dips are getting less frequent but deeper. yesterday suuuuuuucked
/r/Divorce_Men04/03/24 03:07 AM

Yo you sound more invested emotionally than i am, chill. I am around this chick for 20-30 min twice a week. Its definitely not a wendys, but there is no reputation that im worried about anyways. Ive been around this woman for like ten years, i was married for 95% of the time and she got married a few years back too. Now that im not, which she doesnt even know yet, it seems like shes exhibiting signs of being interested. I havent made a move literally because shes married. No kids with current hu…

this describes my experience exactly. it was like a light switch. except, she is still dangling herself like a carrot trying to keep me hooked because i think she knows deep down she didnt pick the next branch well enough, and hes gonna leave at some point. counting on me being there to catch her guess again
/r/Divorce_Men02/03/24 03:25 PM

this is a good place to run this question, so im in the middle of preparing to divorce, and there is a woman at work who is displaying pretty well all of these positive signs, also married. my conscience is stopping me cause my experience is sucking and i feel like its shitty to do thatvto other dude. buuut damn, wanted her a long time. full send?

Yeah, when they start popping up with phrases/words that never existed in their vocabulary previously, that came from somewhere. Its amazing how many dudes on here have the exact same story.

fucking this. talked to a "woman" for a couple of days, did this and came up with 3 separate thirst trap twitter accounts, each with a different name. when i was like wtf she tried to say she was a "fashion celebrity" and theyre fake impersonators. for all i know i was talking to a fat hairy dude or a little chinese kid. do not share info with strangers lol. the signs that checked the box it was a scam was they immediately moved to an encrypted chat app (which had a different name than the datin…

i know mines having doubts because shes trying to keep me on the back burner. i know for a fact theyre already fighting and hes telling her to shut the fuck up, its a time bomb already. i just want it NOW lol. but soon enough and not so i can take her back, fuck all that noise, it just pisses me off shes getting her way after all i dumped into "us". burst into flames BURST INTO FLAMES. like lori would say lol

therapy in general...fuck that noise. finally started talking to a woman off the dating apps, was feeling really good about myself, we were hitting it off well enough she gave me her number. then she busted out the "tell me about the steps youve taken in your healing journey" and out came the script and was suddenly a counselor. dont even know what i said wrong, but ghost. all these independent women seem really easily led, and unable to cross examine the info theyre given. or they just like wat…

ohh yeah. there was like 1500 times she was gonna leave, but didnt for who knows what reason. cheated on me and lied in our first week, however continued to move places with me, further invest in "us" and get pregnant 3 times. but you know, we should have never happened in the first place. also a lovely conversation. gold medal level mental gymnastics

pretty sure she caught her entire vocab off of here. its literally word for word with what everyone else is saying here. that and a whole new network of friends out of seemingly nowhere, 4 kids from different fathers and shit, that are cheerleading her on. one story i remember being brought home was girl got her husband to give her oral shortly after another dude came in her and he was complimenting her on the flavor. suuuuuuuuuper classy. now im like 90% positive shes with a drug dealer because…

my dude i feel this one. one minute being vindictive, then asking for money/a loan so were nice again, then after im too nice and she gets it, back to being a smartass. like theyre missing a part of their brain or something.

its almost like they learn this shit online or something, like down to the same buzzwords. like seriously, invalidates your feelings and mourned the death of our relationship are not words you came up with on your own. your vocabulary doesnt work like that on your own

while i will say i dont disagree with that statement, little head assures me this is the right course of action. so i think we're gonna steam on ahead, and if hes wrong im gonna beat him like he owes me money

my guy, this got a belly laugh out of me. on another note, i always thought i was an ugly chode, but i have women pinging me on the apps almost every day now. im still not even 2 months from dday. that shit helped it evaporate like it never happened, chin up brosephs

duder, basically the same story here but 16 years. she moved directly in with dickhead when i found out. thing is, im already over it, and she started trying to fuck ME last week after one single week no contact. it is a fucking trip. kids told me today that they got in a fight yesterday and he told her to shut the fuck up. i felt nothing. i dunno if im toxic as fuck or something, but im gonna hate fuck the shit out of her LOL it also helps im already talking to a different girl that she doesnt …
