That Jim has 20 ducks now isn't useful. We'd need to know how many ducks he had before to answer.

Can you tell me how I'm wrong?

Go to a different gym then, there's 100's of them. Or drop a couple hundred on a home setup. Or do bodyweight stuff. Or run. Or walk. Or just eat less.

Tipping is to reward/incentivize good service. I've worked low-wage jobs and at the end of the day I walked away with my per-hour. No one was subsidizing my pay with money straight out of their own pockets. To go from what amounts to a custom rooted in generosity to the attitude where you are ENTITLED to that money, and ANGRY if you don't get it, is disgusting

It's because they've already done years of hard labour and realized that sacrificing your hips and rotator cuff and feeling like shit at the end of the day isn't worth 15 an hour.

It's the internet, there's a galaxy of free porn here. If you're not offering absolutely top shelf goods then you're not going to make much.

"Stacey widowed" or on the tail end of a long dry spell with too much time to think.

Agree and amplify is for garden variety shit-tests. It's not for getting out of trouble by being dismissive towards someone who is rightfully upset with you. It's a tool, how it's used depends on the intentions of its user.

I would hazard a guess that the internet fitness crowd disproportionately contains people who struggle with mental health. Exercise is a huge help with depression and anxiety, every incel neckbeard gets the memo, and some are actually able to pull it off.

What people are trying to say is that TRP is a collection of ideas, nothing more. Everyone incorporates it into their live differently because everyone gets something different out of it. It can be healthy or unhealthy. There is no stereotypical "RP Man". What OP found was two broken men who took the worst from it. They'd be something like that regardless. You can't judge an entire philosophy by the worst of its adherents.

With my parents, they were entirely concerned that I meet certain arbitrary expectations (like get at least a B average in high school) and that I followed rules that they set (for example, that we eat only at the table). Almost never did they teach me important skills, offer guidance, imagine a life path that actually suited me, or really talk to me about life in general. I wonder if that's the average experience.

This is part of why they come here. The ego massage from hard up guys. Nowhere else can you be made to feel so successful for just managing a normal life.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
