I’ve always been curious about TRT but feel like there’s too much risk for me to be comfortable with it.

How long did you abstain before you noticed a difference? Might just give it a shot.

Bruh, surgery for exotropria is not cosmetic, it's the difference between seeing in 3D vs having constant double vision. Neither is fixing your teeth/bite. These are real medical issues that are fixable.

Just wanna say that you take criticism well, and your follow up makes a lot of sense as to why you reacted the way you did. Is it possible that being vulnerable and authentic is working for you and you just haven’t given it enough time yet?

Huge problem with OLD in my opinion, people chase that high. It’s addictive.

I’ve actually found this to be true as well. When I go with friends, I feel comfortable just staying with the group. By myself, I have to move out of my comfort zone.

Ghosting happens to everyone. Guys get ghosted. Girls get ghosted. Good looking, ugly, charming or weird—literally happens to everyone. Just got to roll with it and not let it get you down. The more you give off a “I’m down on my luck vibe” the less people will be attracted to you.

Jaw surgery is a pretty big deal too. Not to be taken lightly.

This sub has a very narrow perspective on what it means to be an attractive man.

It may seem like that, but what we think is true isn’t always true. Take it one day at a time, brother.

They may have been. Guys do that at the gym. If you wear tight clothing and are attractive it’s pretty much a guarantee.

I think a lot of men on here assume that looks are what give a man confidence, and as a result, they shoot themselves in the foot when they don’t have the arbitrary look that they think women want.

Why are you on this sub if you honestly believe this. We should be banning these sorts of posts. Does nothing for the discussion.

TLDR I don't think there is a universal set of steps you can do. Of course, there's putting yourself out there and talking to women, but I think the most important thing you can do is to develop the right internal mindset and worldview--that is, you have intrinsic worth outside of anyone else's opinion, and while you can't force any individual person to be attracted to you, that through the right mindset, you can improve and become more attractive to people in general. I wrote out this story bel…

Confidence comes from trying and getting success. It also means mitigating the amount of self critical reflection when things don’t go your way. So if you want to increase your confidence, do more of which makes you uncomfortable and don’t beat yourself up for failing along the way.

Same here. I get back few matches but they’re not exactly A-list material. The few likes I do get are usually in the C and D tier. Thinking about dropping some money on a professional photographer.

Being able to handle criticism, rejection, and negative emotions in a healthy way is such an important life skill. These guys aren’t doing a very good job of it at the moment, but they might just having a bad day. Every now and then we all do.

That sounds perfect. I used to work out all the time and didn’t track diet—never saw results. As soon as I started tracking protein intake, it was night and day. I did meal prep shit that measured it out for me. Supplemented with Greek yogurt.

Macros. Mostly protein. Aim for 1.2-1.5g protein per lb of body weight.

Any move I make will instantaneously be considered creepy With all due respect, I think you should consider talking to a therapist about this. You're basically setting yourself up for failure by thinking this way. You'll never have a chance if you never make a move. And when you fail, which happens to literally everyone no matter how good looking they are, you need to be ready to brush it off and not internalize it. Have fun with it ffs. Being fun, cool, and classy are only relevant if you’re ab…

People can develop this mindset even without childhood bullying. I’d argue that it is incredibly common, especially among those with anxiety, depression, or other mood disorders.

A confident person doesn’t care about how pretty their face is. As others have pointed out, attraction is a function of many different attributes. Focus on changing what you can.

Just to give you perspective, I know plenty of good looking guys that get shot down 9/10 times. Even as an extremely attractive male, the odds are stacked against you for a whole number of reasons that have very little to do with you or anything you have control over. A word of advice, allow yourself to be imperfect and to get rejected. It’s part of life, and handling it well makes you more attractive to people than your physical appearance.
/r/seduction13/09/21 04:47 AM

Most successful people learn how to handle rejection in a positive way.

For someone with chronic depression, you seem to be handling things exceptionally well and have a healthy way of interpreting your setbacks and not internalizing them with negative self talk. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break. Give yourself some credit. You’ve done way more than a lot of people here. When you’re ready, give it another go.

Dude, with all due respect, the mental model you're running right now is going to sabotage everything you want to accomplish in life. Stop being so hard on yourself. Stop seeing things as alpha or beta or hot or not, and for the love of God, stop basing your own self worth on the external validation of others. For fucks sake, man. Your entire post is masking all the positive things you're doing to improve your life (fitness, socializing, talking to women) with self loathing BS. Imagine this scen…

Go easy on yourself. It can be hard as fuck. It’s a process, like lifting weights. You can’t expect to lift a shit ton right away. And you can’t compare yourself to the guy who’s years ahead either. Being mindful of how your feeling and forgiving yourself for slip ups is an important part of the process. It’s a compounding effect. It takes years to see real difference, but you might not notice it on a daily or even monthly timeframe. I still have set backs. So does everyone else here.

First step is to cool off. Is it really worth letting a stranger get to you like this? Especially this person? Whom your barely know? Getting emotional takes up a lot of mental resources. Choose your battles. This one, at least in my opinion, isn’t worth it.

Did she confirm that she was going to meet you and then tell you she couldn’t make it after you were supposed to meet? Otherwise, if she gave you a heads up that she couldn’t make it, at least with respect to first dates, it’s very common and your best way to handle it is it be supportive and not get worked up over it. No one wants to be guilt tripped.

I think a lot of people struggle with internalizing negative emotions associated with approach anxiety and rejection and they convince themselves that they don’t want to talk to beautiful women so they never have to deal with those feeling.

That sounds like a much better cure. No one can take away the things you’ve done to improve yourself.
/r/seduction10/06/21 03:22 PM

Is your solution to just not try then? I totally understand your rationale, but I wonder if the cure is just a slower acting poison.

I’m in no means endorsing any of these behaviors, nor am I invested in them, I’m just trying to make the point that, in moderation, I don’t see why any of these behaviors should be considered a problem. Apparently it’s a controversial opinion. But I’m also open minded and more than willing to hear compelling reasons as to why I might be wrong.

It's completely dependent on the person. It becomes excessive when you start noticing it impacting your life in a negative way and you are still compelled to continue the same behavior. Some people consume a lot of alcohol, caffeine, and porn and still manage to maintain healthy life styles and relationships. Some people do none of these things and live very unhealthy lifestyles. Notice that the words "a lot", "healthy" and "unhealthy" are somewhat subjective and can mean different things to dif…
