Her parents were very Catholic, and named her accordingly. The fact that she turned out the way she did, oh the irony. Ps it kinda makes sense. The Catholic High Schools where I grew up were known for churning out the biggest sluts.

Tongue in cheek I see what you mean. And it's funny. That's what also made it confusing for me. I thought "wait a minute, madonna the singer doesn't have a complex "...But now that I know what term (Madonna/Whore complex) really means it makes more sense. Also, it's not a stage name. She was really born named Madonna.

Madonna = Virgin Mary (Catholic/Christianity)

pure as Madonna That makes more sense! It's the only RP term that never made sense in my mind because I thought that "Madonna" meant the singer, 80's pop-star Madonna.

she asked for it and then went crazy because the other girl wasn't uglier than her. Exactly. OP had a lesson to learn and lesson to pass here.

Leave her bro. 1 year is just the right time to figure out if you want to keep going, and unless it's 99% "hell yes!" leave, especially after this. Move forward. Have good frame. Focus on yourself (instead of handling her crazy every now and then). Even though you've probably become competent at handling her crazy, you're still using inner resources to handle her shit. Keep your frame, hang with friends, focus on yourself, have fun, go on a hike/bike by yourself, talk to strangers. You're a bart…

but she'll be back and more attracted than she was before. Yep, especially if he drops his BP upbringing and stays with solid frame. Question is, would he really want her back? If I was him, no, I would enjoy that freedom than getting back to drama.

Madonna whore complex Can you elaborate on that term? I saw it mentioned throughout in a great book (Practical Female Psychology for the Practical Man) but I need an elaboration. I know it's something to do with slut-shaming, but it seems a little more than that. Anyone care to elaborate?

Thanks. I was writing from my phone using the browser and sometimes this happens. I deleted the other two posts.

Exactly. Learning to detect manipulation comes first. Then at that point it's your choice whether or not to manipulate. Just note: manipulation isn't a bad thing- it just is. But when people lose focus on the inner game and just start to grab tools to use, then it becomes hollow. Sure, someone might become really really good at manipulation and manipulate world to his favor. But if there's nothing behind it? Then in the end what does did he really learn about himself?

If you practice what you preach then why you keep defending yourself? What you wrote was powerful enough. Let it stand out and let it stand the test of criticism.

it has a lot to do with the ability to manipulate (not necessarily a bad thing) True Red Pill has less to do with the ability to manipulate. It has to do with the ability to detect how we are being manipulated (by people, by society, by our minds/emotions) and why we feel shame. In my opinion, it's not about acquiring the skill of manipulation and shaming others, it's acquiring the awareness of manipulation that happens around us and learning to be firm enough in our ground to brush off shaming …

I second the recommendation for No More Mr. Nice Guy. Easy to read, but you'll feel the reverberation of each and every sentence. It goes deep! :-) Any thought on the Negotiating book?

This "turn of the tide" move should really be upvoted even higher. Well done, here, well done. OP in this post went for the "bend don't break approach"...while this commenter went for the sack and interception four a touchdown.

That's a good point, OP. I've seen this play out before, where the clearly gay Asian boy dates the most acceptable Asian girl to his standards (and I'm not just saying they're both Chinese - their families are both from a specific place in China). I asked my friend (who's related to the boy) "does she see that he's clearly gay?" and where she responds "well, he is from this province and it's rare to find people from there." So two people clearly blind to reality and (subconsciously) dating to th…

Speaking of high pitched voice and body language....You know, a part of me thinks he's gay (my "gaydar" is usually pretty spot-on) and closeted. He has Asian parents which has high standards for succeeding traditionally (job, wife, house, kids) so he wants to make them proud. So he's probably playing a role of trying to be a good boyfriend here, but in the end probably will come out of the closet in a few years.

I can vouch for this. I grew up non-traditionally: No wife, no kids, went bankrupt, allowed my condo to foreclose, no full-time job, heck right now I have about $300 in the bank (after having just $40 a few days ago). If most people tell you this line, they are probably telling story of how they failed in life. But - I'm as happy as I've ever been, I have lots of freedom, I live abundantly, and great things keep coming to me because when things get tough, I re-learn to believe in appreciating th…

You don't even need to go to a third world country. I'm in the Midwest (city) and I can barely get a Tinder match after five days. But then I went to Vancouver, CA and I got Super Liked twice in two days, in addition to other matches. There's literally a 3-1 girl guy ratio there sometimes. Crazy.

these 3 things mean something totally different if you talk to someone from northern Illinois, Wisconsin, or Minnesota than they do anywhere else. Sounds very interesting. Can you elaborate? Grew up in Northeasterm Illinois here.

I'm 38. Honestly you just get better with age. Yes, I wish a father or older brother have instilled this in me. But - I also get the freedom to discover masculinity as it applies for myself. My father was more old fashioned, so maybe he would've told me to be a better provider (and sacrificing myself). He himself wasn't that way, but when I was younger (we moved away from him at the age 10) he often voiced the "corporate line" of what it takes to be a good boy. Really - blue pill speech even tho…

How to increase confidence in two simple steps: 1) Identify a fear. 2) Walk towards it.

Sure, there's inner work like meditation that boosts confidence. Reading books - No More Mr. Nice Guy or Iron John, for example. Confidence can certainly be borne from trial, error, feedback, repetition, certainly. But that's not the only way to get confident. It's not either or - it can both.

You work on diet, you work on lifting, but you cant work on confidence directly. You almost got it all right. Except the fact that you cannot work on confidence. That's a self-limiting belief; there are many ways to work on inner game and all that is is working on confidence. That being said, I still like your blueprint here and it boosts confidence indirectly.

Thanks for the clarification. From that angle, that is true. So I see your point of view. The results of what happens from the outside is a reflection of you - well put. From what I was talking about - is the intention to cut off "friends" that no longer serve you - ones that mess your life up, sap away your energy, otherwise don't give anything back. In that case, it's does not look bad that your friends are ones you've only made recently. I'd rather have new friends that complement my life in …
