They just played open mic at a bar called “Rick’s” down the road from me.

To be fair, they’ve had some Tallahassee OF girls on for variety. Respect for representing the wider demographic ✊.

Lmao you say it as though you’re rooting for your sports team to have been raped more. My point is (being a victim myself) that it’s certainly more common than you think and the limited studies and stats there are tend to disagree with you.

Not sure who your friends are, but nearly every guy I know has some story, whether it be some old lady saying something inappropriate to them, getting groped/ass grabbed at some bar, and some worse. The difference is they don’t connect it with sexual assault and play it off as a joke.

1in6.org, 1 in 6 SA’d, also that stat you’re referencing is attempted rape, 1 in 10 actually did get raped which is an extremely low ball figure considering men report way less than women and the laws for what constitutes rape are different for men depending on region and state

Why so abrasive in these comments? I feel like they pay you compliments, you open your mouth, and then they immediately move on.

There’s nothing wrong with discussing it, but when you put the blame on all men for the actions of a minority, that becomes problematic. Also, let’s talk about how men are subject to more danger in public than any other group, Or that 1 in 6 men are SA’d? I don’t see why one side has been drilled into our heads from birth but the other side is completely ignored.

You can find similar ideologies with different motivations between quite a few groups, irrelevant to OP’s statement imo.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 03:03 PM

I could have been more clear. My point is it doesn’t work either way. Actor≠incel. You have to ask yourself at what point does a term lose it’s meaning. If everyone called Brads actors, even if they weren’t, then that renders the original meaning useless and it takes a new definition. The definition for actor now, is Brad. In the same way that anyone critical of double standards for women might get called an incel, it no longer pertains to being an actual incel, it just becomes a lazy insult. Th…

Damn dude, I typed out a whole novel before seeing the edit on why that doesn’t make sense Lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 02:20 AM

…Calling a man an incel implies he has no value. The same way calling Brad Pitt an actor does not imply all men or all Brads or even all men named Brad Pitt are actors, its just him… The problem here is that even the comparison of incel=actor doesn’t work. Purely from a grammatical sense, sure. But at what point does a term lose individuality and meaning if it’s used all of the time? If all Brads were called actors even if they weren’t, the word “actor” would cease to have the same meaning, woul…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 02:18 AM
1

Whether or not it's a self-identified term is irrelevant. The origin of the term is in fact, irrelevant as well. It's a term that's taken on new meaning and reserved for any guy that dares question double standards and discounts their opinions as the ramblings of an angry man who can't get laid (which ironically supports gender stereotypes and sexual shaming which is hilarious.) No matter how you use it, it's not comparable nor even in the same ballpark as a proper noun in terms of individuality…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/23 01:49 AM

Wow what a shit comparison. One term is derogatory and overused to the point of having no meaning. The other is an actor’s name. You really connected those dots in your head, huh?

Yeah that’s my hope as well
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/23 01:12 AM

True, but it’s never sat right with me that it’s on men to initiate and essentially have a two second tryout on whether or not they might be found to be a creep, so they simply don’t approach. I think some of that could be bridged if more women approached instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 11:52 PM

Lol that’s the disconnect though. They have no idea what those jobs entail because they don’t do them.

What are your thoughts on women approaching men?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 11:24 PM

I work a blue collar job. Unless you can site sources to these comments you speak of, then it’s speculative.

Then you communicate that you’re not interested and move on…see? Becomes real simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 02:07 PM

Communication is gold when it comes to relationships. Your take on that alone tells me you have little to no experience in dating/relationships. And it’s odd that your weird value system lines up identically to FDS. 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 02:01 PM

Lmao…or the ones that communicate. Tell me you frequent FDS without telling me you frequent FDS. Enjoy the single life ✌️
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 01:55 PM
4

No it really doesn’t. If someone’s interested in you then it should be effortless. My current partner and any before required no work or games. Playing hard to get isn’t what guys want, like at all lol
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 01:43 PM
5

Desperate guys maybe. Most who end up in a relationship take the first decently attractive girl that actually responds to them and doesn’t treat them like shit, but they’re not going to put in more than 2 seconds of work when they can just keep swiping.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 01:27 PM
2

Lmao, nah. Guys don’t play games like that, and they certainly don’t chase anymore. They just take what they can get at this point.

Christ, so much accuracy.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 12:45 PM

It female dominated jobs disappeared, society as we know it would fall apart. It would if male dominated jobs disappeared. It would it LOW SKILLED workers all disappeared. The world will keep functioning if 99% of these jobs disappeared. Because the world was function before they How did you manage to contradict yourself not even a paragraph apart?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 12:20 PM
2

Correct, paying for a woman is just another one, times change and so do the methods, but the end game has been the same for thousands of years.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 09:59 PM
7

I think the exploitation starts and stops at male loneliness. Past that, these are grown men making they’re own decisions and paying for an OF girl is often times easier for them than having to hassle with finding a girlfriend to temporarily fill that void. Is it sad? Yes. Exploitative? Depends on the situation, but most times I’d say not that much if you have common sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 09:55 PM

Why is this so hard for people? I’ve always been straight forward with my intentions and have expected as much in return. This has always proved fruitful in my past.

Oh fantastic, so if I take that exact statement and pose it as a question over on r/twoxchromosomes, you think they’ll share your take?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 11:54 PM
1

Let me switch genders of the original statement and tell me you wouldn’t scream misogyny if someone said this? “Or is it just that men don't have much to offer for some men? I never felt fullfilled while dating women. Then I realized I was gay. Even objectively speaking, I genuinely don't see why a man would personally need them in his intimate life. Yes, there are absolutely men that want them in their life and it's awesome. But for the most part... they don't offer much.”

Whatever you say lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 07:46 PM

Again, why don’t you go to r/askmen, or heck, anywhere and ask them for yourself? Oh right, you won’t, because your misandry has no interest in the truth.

And r/twoxchromosomes doesn’t do the exact same thing to men? Please….get a grip
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 04:10 PM

If you’ve only heard it here, then you need to get out more, or at least go to r/askmen. There’s hardly any research on men’s mental health in general since it’s taken as a joke, but here’s something that pins it down pretty well https://www.psychologytoday.com/intl/blog/experimentations/202103/why-men-need-to-feel-desired
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 10:06 AM
1

Because men don’t think the same as women, the majority of men have a desire to feel needed by either society or another person to fulfill a purpose of belonging and to be truly happy.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 03:51 AM

I’d be inclined to agree with you, most women I’m in contact with irl aren’t like that, then again they aren’t on Reddit either so lol

Problem being, women carry just as much vitriol, if not more than men in this sub. The misandry is real. Just earlier I commented on a girls comment here about the usual “all men are garbage, there’s no hope blah blah.”

Yeah I get the same feelings when I’m unfortunate enough to stumble upon a r/twoxchromosomes post
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/23 01:19 AM

Yikes, the pent up anger and sadness is strong here.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 09:56 PM

Yup, the demographic that online communities attract doesn’t represent the wider context at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 09:54 PM

Makes sense in that regard, best of luck
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 03:43 AM
1

Okay well that changes a couple things, “transactional” isn’t what I consider give and take, but it gets used and abused as a term to hyper analyze people’s values before even knowing them, which I disagree with. I don’t know which minority you’re referencing but I have heard from various minority women in different groups that dating is atrocious for them, so I can see where you’re coming from. Of course, if all you’ve known has been shitty guys then I understand why it doesn’t inspire hope for…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 02:37 AM
1

Ahh I see, so this is FDS levels of brain dead thinking. Transactional thinking and relationships don’t mix. This is just thinly veiled misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 01:41 AM

And that’s fine to have things you need from a relationship, but I get the sense it wouldn’t take much for you to bail at the first sign of trouble

Interesting, so let’s run with that hypothetical. You have a guy that’s average in every way but makes good money and he’s ambitious, he looses his job. He gets depressed and starts having trouble finding another. The one thing you were attracted to about him disappears in a short period of time, then what? You leave him? You see how how that mentality is anti-commitment in of itself? The very thing you complained about men doing?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 01:25 AM
1

But you yourself earlier just stated that the majority of men “suck” which is “average” in your opinion, why would you intentionally date someone you think sucks? Regardless of money?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 01:09 AM
1

So by your logic, he still sucks in every respect outside of making more money? Lol, that’s some FDS level of delulu
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/23 12:50 AM
1

I’m referencing purely personality traits, physically yeah that’s the average but if you think that “sucks” then you’re setting yourself up for constant disappointment.

I agree, but reading some of your other comments, it's clear to me that your perception of the average man is skewed. Matt Hussey, a dating coach for women, breaks down this phenomenon better than anyone else I've seen. No I don’t think so at all. Most women I’ve ever been around have been lovely. Don’t let redpill nonsense delude you into thinking you need to hate the other side.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 11:35 PM

The mental gymnastics misandrists go through to make it seem normal that thinking men suck is astounding to me. You hate men, you don’t even like “the great ones” that much, just be honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 11:25 PM

In major cities they are. Nationwide in the U.S., men out earn because they typically work longer hours and take on more dangerous/undesirable jobs in addition to women leaving the workforce temporarily or entirely after starting a family.

In most major cities (In the U.S.) women typically out earn their male counterparts. Nationwide though it still skews in favor of men due to maternity leave and women leaving the workforce 3-4 years to start a family.
