I was careful to say that I am describing "women as a class," not each and every member of the population. It's silly to presume that the population of women is homogeneous and that each of them works exactly as hard as every other specimen. The number of votes cast has nothing whatsoever to do with how many citizens have reached the age of majority and have not forfeited their right to vote. The difference between the total number of eligible voters who are women and the total number of eligible voters who are men is not 2%. When a presidential candidate can win with 43% of the votes (Clinton), 47% (Bush), 46% (Trump), a population in which women have a 16 point advantage over men is overwhelming.
