How often do you see this critique?

Since you have a strong opinion on the apartments, you should help search for one. Otherwise he’s going to get discouraged if you continue to reject his recommendations and give up.

And they resent you for nagging. That resentment doesn’t go away. You become like a nagging mother instead of a loving partner. Then you’re on your own.

From what you’ve said, you know that he’s not interested in dating you. Would you like to change the dynamic between the two of you into something really awkward and uncomfortable just for 100% confirmation that he isn’t interested in dating you? Or can you get over it so that you don’t ruin what sounds like a good friendship?

Since this is a non-traditional wedding, your friend ought to have non-traditional expectations of you. Meaning I hope she’s not dumping everything on you “because she had so much on her plate right now “

I can tell you from experience that if your children have two hard-working parents that don’t come home until 7pm during the week, well, those kids have a shitty home life but two parents succeeding at building careers. If you want to have both, then you have to realize that you’re asking your kids to sacrifice having parents at home when they need them.

What does he say about the apartments that you are finding?

You’ll need to actually be confident in yourself in order to appear confident to others. A person like Cheryl Sandberg is a good example of confidence. She wrote a very good book that’s worth your time.

You should find a way to confirm that he has been obsessing over you the same way you have been obsessing over him for the last few months. One thing they can turn a guy off is for a girl that he’s seen only a handful of times, regardless of how long they’ve had a long-distance / online relationship, is to rush him into a Commitment that includes a ton of expectations that he doesn’t know about. this is just my anecdotal experience from a girl who wanted to have the Girlfriend title so damn badl…

This reads like you’re dependent on your fiancé for your life. If you two broke up and you can’t afford to rent your own place, that should be a sign that you’re making some wrong decisions so far. The fact that you’re only 25 and you “refuse to start from scratch” shows some indication that you’re entitled/spoiled when it comes to relationships because you just expect these things to be easy. Stand up for yourself and stop being a mother to these guys.

He’s still into her. Sorry. You should move forward because he’s stuck in the past. Find someone new when this is all over.

Why not block her on the phone so she can’t text?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
