No it's a polite rejection. She might not even have a boyfriend, but if you just say you aren't interested most of the time the dude isn't going to respect that, or even get angry.

It's because if you're typing things you get a chance to collect your thoughts and come up with better responses. IRL doesn't have that luxury so you're more likely to say stupid shit. But like anything it just takes practice. You just have to get comfortable with sucking at it for a while until you figure it out.

So there's actually quite a few misconceptions going on here. This whole "you have to be a rich influencer to get girls to talk to you on Instagram" idea is fundamentally false.
