I love how Sweden is changing more and more with the rising crime rates and the lack of tradition over there. I think and want them to go further so that we all get a good show.

Who is attacking you? Do they provide a benefit? No? Just assholes that don't contribute to society? I'm afraid to ask - What did you expect?

First, why do you want to say anything to these people? They aren’t your friends and have their minds made up. Why try to convince a person who is convinced without any statistics or facts? Second, if you want to convince, why not have fun and showcase a different angle? Black people commit the most crimes. Thus, by their logic, all of them are terrible. Sure, they’ll call you racist, but then you can compare your statements with theirs and ask them what’s the difference?

I've always hoped that cooler heads will prevail (in the end). It's one thing to be enraged on the internet and say some terrible things; but I feel that it's another thing to chat in person and more context can be provided.

What is the alternative for the doctor if the wife cheats? Or are you saying that you believe the courts will follow the law as prescribed and get the test? I worry that this will cause another avenue to become available and something tragic will happen to the child (when a person doesn’t feel like they have a way out).

Is the issue the word “discrimination”? Would it be better to use the word “preference”? Looking back at my peers, I’ve seen lots of cases where male roommates have worked out well; while female roommates destroy the ecosystem and the communal environments. Based on that experience, I would understand why I would have a preference of only male roommates. You might have a different experience and might want to have only female roommates.

I find that people don’t hear the details and just want the labels. Once the label is given, then people just their imagination with the label. Furthermore, you can pick able level provided that you use ‘quotes’ around it.

Firstly, I wanted to thank you for the thoughtful conversation. I feel that these discussions are rare nowadays online as I feel that these types of chats usually result in name calling at the end. If I could summarize what I think your logic is (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong)…it’s that men and women have roughly the same rates of abuse (albeit different types of abuse). However, with there being more women in the world, it would be logical to assume that their total numbers (not rati…

It’s always terrible when people are attacked. Each side has a tough time and no one is better than the other. I also generally find that what people ‘feel’ is true isn’t always true. For example: I would say, statistically, women get attacked more by men in authority over them or just in general (women are easier to attack and so are children but that's a whole other story) I used to think that this is true (like women are raped more than men), but I found that it wasn’t always true (ie add the…

It's a whole issue but yes, women in industries tend to have a harder time in confronting their offenders With respect, why do you think that this is true? I find that people tend to listen more when a woman speaks vs when a man speaks about sexual assault (ie Terry Crews, etc). Can I assume that it’s because people talk about it or have some anecdotal evidence of a localized situation vs actual evidence of it? If this is true, when wouldn’t it depend on the media and stories that a person consu…

I think that the problem is that…you want the world to be fair. All people (generally) don’t deal with logic and only go with emotions and what feels right to them. Given that everyone is an individual, each makes their own choice…but some choices do not align and some are outraged at other’s people’s choices.

The part that I find odd in this day and age is how easy it is to find someone online. Due to this, I would have thought that people would want to be more careful about having their name in the news and posted online during “weird” things so that it doesn’t impact them during job interviews or prospective dates.

Given that we don’t know the answer, I use court cases to define the answer. I believe that those with implicit bias will tell me the answer is completely wrong and it’s much higher (like 90%), but then cannot define a method to come to that answer other than “it feels right”. Similarly, there are those that it’s 0%. It’s also wrong. I’m seeing it as boolean. I agree that the current methods are not 100%, but I don’t have any better info. /r/AntiFeminists15/01/23 05:21 PM

Do you have an alternative method to refine the “gray” area? Or are you saying that it’s just implicit bias (because we all have it based on our own experiences)? If I were to judge, I’d be worried that I’d use my own bias and use other people’s experiences around me. Thus, I’m using the courts and suggesting to make it binary. This problem goes away once we develop the technology to read minds in court cases. :D
/r/AntiFeminists15/01/23 03:11 PM
1

Okay, what’s the number? What method or process will we decide on how the “gray” area is defined? At present, there are a multitude of sides that (ultimately) say that there is no evidence so we assume that the number is X (either really high or really low). I’m suggesting to use the courts as absolute truth. If you’ve got a better idea, then I’m good but then I’d like to know how you got at that number. Otherwise, I’d be picking a number based on bias and heresay.

I guess I don’t see how to confront the bias because of people’s zealotry and the inability for people to admit that they were wrong. In the Tate example, there is evidence that he said some questionable things; but it’s there evidence that he did something? I haven’t seen it. I’ve heard people summarize it, but I haven’t seen it so I’m unclear if he did it or if there is a bias from the provider of the information (ie fake news if it were). I look at it the other. It’s binary, right? Guilt or innocent? If they say that only 10% of those arrested eventually go to prison, then the others must be lying.

I hear the narrative, but I believe that most sane people don't actually believe that. Despite what's posted online, I believe that most people are sane. The people here? We're all crazy. BUT if they wanted a villain, he should have done something tragic and permanent to those accusers to earn that moniker.

Some people aren’t going to like whoever you like. They’ll tell you that it’s a moral issue. How you deal with it is your decision but I’m afraid that you’re going to be disappointed with trying to convince other people who’ve made up their minds. Are you a shitty person for liking person X? Sure. Are they a shitty person for not listening? Sure. Does it matter in the end?

I am in favor of gender diversity on corporate boards regardless of how it affects organizational performance. For reasons of fairness, if nothing else. Women and trans people aren’t good enough to get their on their own merits? If they were that good, then wouldn’t the data show that consistently through the various years? Are you on a board or is this your opinion that you want to push on other boards (much like the janitor of a multi-national has ideas on how to run the company)?

I don’t think that anything happened to this case to those women. I’m not saying that I would agree with it, but I would understand the cause for that behaviour.

IMHO, “Should be” is a tough way to live your life. There’s lots of things that should or should not happen, but they do. I try (but often fail) not to focus on the things that I cannot control and only focus on the things that I can and in the present moment.

If it's not true and he's completely innocent, then it means that some are willing to bend the facts to put someone in jail and that people aren't willing to provide his day in court. To me, that's worse because it means that "they" (whoever they are) can put anyone in jail if the message isn't followed. What an evil thing and morally reprehensible thing to believe that someone should be put in jail for not towing the company line. It's almost totalitarian and Nazi-like.

This is a tragic story. On the other hand, I wonder how long it will take for people in this situation change the outcome from ‘just’ a suicide to a ‘murder suicide’. Generally, I would have thought that more and more men would want vasectomies given the state of family courts today. EDIT - I put in the wrong word in my original sentence and changed the meaning of the sentence. I’ve corrected it now.

You might want to move to a state that allows it. It might be better to be in a place that aligns with your beliefs. People are going to have shitty rules. Abortion is banned in some places. Financial abortion doesn’t exist anywhere and people commit suicide over it. It’s a tough go for everyone. That said, I’d also expect (or hope) that people (husbands and whatnot) focus on how this directly impacts them (vs a general comment for impacting everyone).

Oh, they are bad immediately. However, I find that the team putting in the 'rules' don't highlight how they could be bad. For example, I've always thought that the Patriot Act was silly and dangerous when it was put into place. It's always unfortunate when one team uses the heavy hands of the government and thinks that it will protect everyone. The idea has ‘some’ merit because it is ‘eventually’ going to happen via taxes. I agree that if two people decide to raise a child then they should pay. I’m also pro-choice (sorry) so I also think that both should be able to walk away (abortion, financial abortion) while the child hasn’t been born yet.
/r/MensRights08/07/22 01:20 PM

At a macro level, it wouldn’t double pay. For example, woman A is childless. She’s not taking care of anyone. She should pay, no? Man A is a single father and takes care of his kids. By the definition outlined above, wouldn’t he be double paying?

That’s generally how I feel about it. Generally, I’m good with the concept of abortion (biological and financial) at any time. I find it amusing about the rules that various parties put on it (ie biological abortion is good, financial abortion isn’t or biological abortion is good at 10 weeks, but not 20 or 30 or whatever). It’s amusing because it’s not consistent. Thus, in order to be consistent, I (mentally) am okay with the concept and no constraints and I hope that it’s not used punitively.

Clearly, they must think that the woman in this situation is weaker and unable to make up their own minds. It sounds like (based on the underlying logic) that women that young shouldn’t get to vote or be able to speak about any topic as well if they aren’t able to think critically. /s (maybe)

Are you asking people in general to give the accused the benefit of the doubt? I'm not sure what the end game is. I didn't assume that 2% - 10% are false as that's not necessarily the case. I was following the logic that said if ~36% went to trial; then the number of true occurrences is 36% or less (if the person wasn't proven guilty). Where is my logic wrong?

I guess I don't see it that way. I could easily say that your comment is misandric, sexist (for saying that a free man can't think a certain way) and you shouldn't think that way. Sorry! I was out for a bit and didn't read your response. But the point is that “doesn’t wear revealing clothes” isn’t a valid preference for a man to have regarding women. It’s inherently sexist and controlling and removes her bodily autonomy. In no circumstance is this an acceptable take for a guy to have. That's your opinion and you're completely correct to have your own opinion. In the same manner, it's also fair for someone else to have a different opinion (ie I don't like dating fat people…

I don’t see the control. I see a person stating a preference. The other person disagreeing and the first person breaking up. No harm, no foul. I also see women pursuing men based on looks and find more about them (and/or their criteria change), and then realize that they aren’t good partners and move on. I agree that the dating process is haphazard and that all boundaries and personality differences aren’t known from the get go; but eventually they are, people split up and life goes on. It would…

People needs to feel like they're the hero. It's easy to dismiss male anger against women as "incel behavior". It's harder to look deeper into the problem. I completely agree that you should walk away. I'm just saying that I've seen fights go badly. The "knights" do it to get the princess, but then the police get involved or the monsters have guns. Either way, it's a bad scene.

So, the blue collar men are left working a job that doesn't really meet the inflated expectations of today's women, with less hope of a wife/family. I think men are figuring this out and abandoning these jobs en masse, or never entering them to begin with. I would have thought that this was a feature and not a bug. I kid. I kid. By making these jobs so unattractive to the average guy, less men are willing to fill them, and the women are sure not stepping in, and this will lead to basic supply ch…

I have some pity for them and worry about the long-term impact of their decision to poison their kid's minds. Clearly, these "feminists" are hurt in some fashion to hurt their own child to that degree. I worry because I worry that the child will lash out when they get older. If it's a single mother; then I feel extremely sad for the children because they have a higher chance to live a life of crime and be a pox on society. In a few minutes, these feelings pass because I also think "well, it's no…

My apologies. I might have not been clear. I don't disagree that the bill is unjust. I agree. It is unjust. That said, I just wanted to clarify when is a suitable time frame when abortion should not be done. For example, once the baby is out of the womb, I think we can all agree that it's murder. We're saying here that the first six weeks is too soon. Okay! Then when is a suitable timeframe when abortion should be frowned upon as an option.

I guess that you'd have to take the input and decide on its validity based on where it came from. If someone that you've been dating for 10 years tells you that you're cheap, okay, maybe you listen or realize that you have different goals. If it's a first date and some stranger tells you you're cheap...you can say back "look, I cannot afford an escort right now as it goes against my financial goals", smile and walk away.

/r/MGTOW227/12/20 06:19 PM

Yes, one would hope to realize (at a certain point) that their standards are like winning the lottery at some point. Thus, the person can adjust their standards and value things that are not material (heart, love, companionship, etc) and hopefully find happiness OR they can wind up being along and being a stereotypical crazy cat lady. In the end, it's their choice. :)
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen25/12/20 06:38 PM
1

I guess I see it differently. Those people can be surprised. I just feel bad for them (with their surprise) and suggest that they raise their standards even higher (so they have someone who meets their original standards and won't pump and dump them). If they wind up being alone forever because of it...then that's their choice too (because they made the choice to have those standards). Now, if they tell me to match their standards AND they don't match my standards...then I tell them to f'off. :)
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen25/12/20 06:32 PM

This feels like a miscommunication gone amuck. I don't know the story and it's too bad that this couple couldn't communicate effectively with each other. I'm hoping that it turns out well for them both, they split evenly, and find whatever happiness they are looking for.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen25/12/20 06:26 PM

I don’t get it. Are you asking about the mortality of the person who watches the jumper? I assume that watching the “simping” or “the carousel” in action would be the same as watching a tiger kill it’s prey. It’s tragic to watch someone go through that pain, but it’s unavoidable.

A great friend of mine once told me “Rabid, no one is coming to save you. There is no grand vision. No grand plan. No destiny. No one is coming. If you want something, you need to pick yourself up and go after it. Day after day.” I think about that phrase every time I read about how people are angry and whatnot. Sure, I can be angry and be frustrated and wish that the world was more equal and fair. But, as they said, no one is coming. If you want to be saved, you have to save yourself.

I never understood why people like to stay in quicksand (ie stay in a position where they don't get what they want) or address chronic issues with themselves. If she doesn't think that her weight isn't an issue, then she should just look for the people that are looking for her size and not bitch about it. Dating is just a numbers game and she hasn't gone through enough numbers.

It could be depression. It could be a chemical imbalance in your brain. It could be the way you look at the world and some needs not being met. I can see your point. That said, I still feel that there should be some training at the executive level. I think that the people voted in got there to by having some level of skill, but will require more as they get and progress further into the position. I’ll also agree that the amount spent out of the public pocket seems a little much IMHO. I would have thought that she would pay for most and the company / the state / higher body would pay the rest because both benefit.

It’s fine for an overweight woman to not be attracted to an overweight man. In a similar vein, it’s fine for a man to not be attracted to any woman (overweight, different race, trans, single mother, etc). The part that’s not okay is the shaming. You can’t shame someone or a group into liking you...without some severe negative side effects.

It’s easy to turn it around. Why are women afraid of dating quality people who won’t fuck them over? Why are woman afraid of dating long term partners and focusing on the longer term? I learned too late that all I needed was a few pets (I have a few dogs now) in my life to be happy. However, all I can do is improve from here. Kudos to you, my friend.

I understand your point of view, but I’m afraid that I disagree. I think that the issue is that we don’t have any “real” “significant” problems anymore so people are going crazier and crazier trying to solve imaginary ones. Due to this tact, they are voting in people who subscribe to those ideas and try to implement those solutions (but causes more problems).

The issue is with escalation. Let's say that they interfere and now it's 4 on 1. Then, let's say that he gets a gun and comes back. Is that bad? If one is bad (ie they interfere), then is his extreme response as bad? I don't condone it...but I understand why he might want to go that route. Or (if he's "all in") burn their houses down.

Statistically, the likelihood of the cheating spouse depends on age. Younger women are more likely to cheat on their spouse / SO. Older men are also likely to cheat. I think that the median age is 30 where the odds begin to flip. Overall (if you summarize by sex and not sex / age), the gap is about 7% but women are closing the gap as time progresses. —- All in all, I’m not sure what things has to do with MGTOW because all of those men and others are just going their way.

I don’t get this tactic from this woman. If you’re wanting to “put it out there” and hopefully find someone that puts up with your BS, then great. More power to you. If you shame people because people “can’t take your humour”, then maybe the problem is you.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen06/07/19 05:46 PM

I tend to see that has a curious comment by her or anyone else that says it. It dismisses the advantages that each person has over the others. Everyone is "given" something and has an "advantage" or "privillage" or someone else.

I believe that the thing that makes great guitarists / filmmakers / scientists / explorers is intrinsic. I know that some of my greatest projects were because people told me that I couldn’t do something. Every time this happened, I smiled and internally said “fuck you, I’m going to show you” and I did whatever the item was. To be lauded and supported is great, but not always necessary. Everyone has their own path and their own way. I guess this is theirs. As long as it doesn’t impact me, good on them. That said, given how marriages and relationships generally turn out, I’d be extremely cautious. Hotwife or not-hotwife. Any relationship has the potential to turn out extremely bad and one sided / unfair for the man during the end of it or the split.

One “friend” of mine posted it up and I made mentioned about the male challenges and how each side was demonizing each other and not trying to find a common ground. One of her “friends” mentioned that I should be a champion for women instead. I had to laugh. My retort was asking why it’s only the fat, old, ugly ones that post up this shit and try to redefine what it is to be a man and a women. I was deleted shortly after. …
