Like other posters, I'm not sure what "good" is in this context, but assuming that it's "good in bed", then my answer is no. Vulvas and vaginas are all different in terms of what exactly feels good and will build to orgasm. There are also a lot of mental and emotional "brakes" on a woman's arousal. Said another way, what would physically feel good and lead to orgasm won't register as good if the woman is stressed, anxious, etc. Porn doesn't do a lot to show what will make a woman feel good, how …

I agree, it doesn't sound like your self esteem is in the right place to have a healthy relationship right now. It sounds like you are overworked, bored with your own life, and using sex workers as a stress release. I don't think there's anything wrong with seeing a consenting sex worker, but as you've said it's to the point where it's interfering with you enjoying your life. If you have to work hard to afford sex workers to avoid being alone with yourself, that's a great thing to discuss in the…

I'm glad for you that you were about to come across a perspective at a crucial time which helped you to get out of a toxic relationship and possibly saved your life. I'm also glad that you've been able to learn from additional sources to give yourself a more complete picture of how TRP impacts various people. I was raised in a cult and almost joined another in my early 20s. A cult will give you something worthwhile and then pretend that they're the only true source of it. It's incredibly worthwh…

You might hurt her feelings for lying to her. I don't know her and so I can't guarantee shit but if you explain why you did it I think she'll understand and not be hurt. Still, if being lied to does hurt her, it will hurt her proportionally less right now than at any point in the future after you repeat the lie or continue to cover for it. We are human, we will hurt each other by trying to protect ourselves. You can't live a life where that never happens, and you can't have a relationship where …

You seem strongly logic-driven, so what I think might be most helpful to you would be to read "Combating Cult Mind Control" by Steven Hassan. It points out the techniques which cults use to indoctrinate and narrow the thinking of their followers. There are undoubtedly other books or sources which would be great for that purpose, anecdotally it's the one which really helped me. Once you can see the structure of the approach used by groups to narrow your thinking and conform to their ideas, then g…

That really sucks. I'm sorry. Good on you for working to get your medicine, and I hope that your next job is better.

What sort of recommendations for non-toxic male/female behavior are you looking for? Examples in fiction, philosophies and guides, communities?

You're welcome, and best wishes to you both. This kind of growth can be hard, congratulations on tackling it.

Have you told her that you have trouble empathizing and that you're working on it? Having that context will help her to not feel as hurt when there's a misstep like this. If she's willing, you could also ask her to say "Hey, that hurt my feelings" in the moment so you can practice pulling yourself out of your head and look at things through her perspective. That kind of upfront communication can be difficult; it's intimidating to tell someone that you care about that you're upset with them or to…

I strongly recommend therapy. Rage to the point of wishing to commit violence needs help from a professional. Internet paygrade answer: maybe you want to hurt someone else because you're hurting. Moving that pain and hurt to someone else isn't going to heal it.

"Combating Cult Mind Control" by Steven Hassan is a great book to read if you find that you've been indoctrinated by a cult, and one cult tool is definitely specialized vocabulary. I was raised in a cult and found it an extremely helpful read for understanding how the indoctrination happens, and what the warning signs are in order to avoid such groups in the future.

When I see red pillers and radical feminists, what I primarily see is people who are hurting and don't know what to do with that pain, and they think that they're being constructive by seeking out the enemy. But we're all somebody's enemy because we all cause someone else pain in life, in big ways or small, noticed or unnoticed. This is my opinion, but the best thing we can do for people who are hurting is believe that they're hurting, not try to argue that we didn't hurt them and here's why. We…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
