If you have as much trouble getting your ex to keep you in the loop as I do then you may want to try a couple of these out! :)

Those are very good points. But they assume that one person is financially inept to leave. Which would be the result of continuous decisions on their own part to end up in that position. No one forced you to get into this relationship and not work - or not get an education - or not further your career somehow. Agreed, however, that there is no perfect solution for every situation. I just feel like the whole thing should be looked at with a fresh set of eyes and reevaluated. Under no circumstance…

I think it is very relevant. I feel like if you are the one instigating the divorce then you should forfeit the right to Alimony. I do not think it's right to be able to say, "I don't want to be in a relationship with you anymore. I don't want you to be a part of my life. But, I would still like you to subsidize my lifestyle." That's not right in my book. If you want to leave, there's the door. But don't ask me to pay the rent at your new place.

First and foremost - I'm blushing. Thank you :) Secondly - I agree. I don't think I could sit back and cash a check from my ex-wife every month and feel good about it. Even if she was doing well financially. I just don't, personally, see the correlation between her income and my lifestyle. My personal feelings about what income I'm willing to accept shouldn't broad stroke precedent for all men, however. I have never been a stay at home dad. Let alone one that has been taking care of a household …

"a horde of white knights and thirsty guys appear" That is so true. Great point. Men fighting their own interests in an attempt to be seen as a hero. Thanks for the great feedback!

Oh for sure emotions play a huge role in divorce. Of course. Slightly difficult to capture that in an infographic, though :) The intention here is to help break down the different steps and paths of the divorce process so that people know what to expect. Each divorce is different as every person is different but one of an attorneys important functions during a divorce is to keep things on this path and not allow them to be dredged off into the ditch because of those strong emotions that everyone…

You know that's actually a great point. It's 100% better feeling for me to be able to bring a smile to someone's face. That's basically why I do 95% of the things that I do is just to be a quality person for the people around me. "Your future looks better than your past if you present with this man." I refer to that rap quote more often than I will admit irl :)

What is the most expensive Valentine's Day gift that anyone has gotten someone? I took my ex to the Space Needle in Seattle and gave her a LV purse. Glad that worked out.... #LiveAndLearn :)

Yes. Educate yourself. Talk to a family law attorney. They will usually provide you with a free case evaluation. Child support is a calculation based on your income and your wife's. You can look up calculators for your state online. There are also a ton of other great resources you should really look into. Custody issues are typically dealt with where the children have resided for the last 6 months. I would assume child support would follow a similar guideline but it may not. Most good family law attornies will provide you with a free case evaluation to tell you your options. They can be 2- 300$ an hour after that but most of the paperwork you should be able to do yourself. Get some free advice from a lawyer in your area. You can also get a ton of free information online as well. There is a good d…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
