Something to keep in mind. Noted. Sort of does feel like that. I'm busy myself, and I'd like that my time be well spent, thus the cutting short if there's nothing to come out of it and im not having s really great time.

Indeed, I might be be trying to bite off more than I can currently chew by expecting everything to go perfectly the first time and I have to remind myself that its only the beginning and to have a bit more patience. I do usually build it up smoothly by adding light touches and taps here and there when making a point or teasing, although I've not mentioned it in the post. Thing is, it stops there. Might be that it just wasnt meant to be. Appreciate all the insights.

I do try to escalate it as smoothly as possible by lightly tapping her on the shoulder or knee if the context is appropriate. If im making a point or she says something ridiculous and I tease her about it, I usually do some light kino. I also got into the habbit of starting the date with a hug and it always went well in terms of breaking the ice. Thing is, it only goes up to me resting my hand on her leg. Then again, as you've said, you cant win em all, which is alright. I could chalk these up t…

Not really an option, I dont have a place yet. Will do in a year. As long as she pays for herself, I see it as good way of gaining some experience and having a decent time.

Nice! So people who jack off to cartoon women everyday should continue? Sounds like every Karen ever. Like everyone else said: balance, my guy.

No insight whatsoever on OP, yet you speak as if you know everything about him. Probably projecting. I say don't even try, its impossible anyways. You go, OP.

Why and who would have documented that in the past?

Always tried to escalate, get closer to her, but nothing. First date was a gym date, second we went jogging then some tea. She had opportunities to reciprocate at least for once and get closer. Nothing. I know when there's an opportunity and I dont hesitate, but other than enthusiastic texts and conversation, she's lukewarm most of the times. Meh dates as you said. I should probably wait for her to initiate again, then be even more ballsy next time, and if still nothing, I'll drop her.

Go, hone your social skills. Plus preselection in the future. Win win if you have the time.

Fair enough, got the shit tests well under control. Thanks for the insight.

Yeah, makes sense. She was after all into it. I'll roll with it, thanks for the advice.

The very fact that I even considered posting this. Dont usually feel this, but this time, realistically thinking about it, we're at least of same SMV, slightly leaning towards it being in her favour. She doesnt only have looks going for her. But then again, that doesnt serve me in any way, so I ought to discard that train of tought.

Messed up here, despite me knowing this wasn't the way to go. Figured I could "get away" with it by being sO HiGh VaLuE. Its a reality check nonetheless. Great examples, I'll keep them in mind. Thanks for the thoughtful reply.
/r/askTRP01/12/20 09:25 AM

Not really. More among the lines of "Damn I knew I shouldn't have done that, yet still went ahead." Next time I'll do better.
/r/askTRP01/12/20 09:06 AM
1

Didnt do it overtly, per se. For example, the only one she responded to was when I said something about a girl she saw in ny DM's among the lines of "Oh, this is where she lives". Did all of that. Another example would be the time I went out with a couple friends of mine, including 2 attractive female friends. Ended up in the same venue with LTR. She saw me have a great time with them, yet still nothing. Seems like it was doomed already then.
/r/askTRP01/12/20 09:04 AM

Also, I realize now that I misunderstood the idea of "being the rock" in the relationship. It doesnt refer to having a comfortable routine with (or of) her, but just in terms of frame. Got to work on that.
/r/askTRP01/12/20 02:23 AM

Hmm, I see. Seems like I did just that. It became did actually become really monotonous, partly due to some unlucky circumstances, partly due to lack of creativity and foresight on my part. Boring after a while nonetheless. Appreciate the insightful comment.

I see. Those were good analogies :)) Thanks for the reply.
/r/askTRP01/12/20 02:13 AM

Sounds reasonable, both of your points. Got the date aspect down, but I've got a few other questions regarding the LTR part: Does her not responding to dread, even legitimate red flags, a red flag in and of itself? Or is it a sign of indifference, which entails much more? Previous one didnt respond to blatant hints that I was "cheating" on her, hence the question. Really curious about it.
/r/askTRP01/12/20 02:11 AM

Hm, I see. Its basically giving people what they want. Those examples are great, I'll keep them in mind. What about women? Is it any different? Or is it in this case enough just to BE and offer the experience of being with someone that is of a high value?

This right here. Enjoy your time with her though. Do what feels right for you, try to implement as much of the sidebar material as you can. You will learn and become better no matter the outcome. Just try to not get too attached.

Caught me red-handed there, Chief. Wanted to ask you out on a fancy dinner date too, but I guess im just not the type for such a rugged alpha.

Well she believed in feminism, but was pretty sensible about it. Bright red hair, wanted to get tatoos in the future. Wrote that because of other accounts of people telling me this. Close friends who knew him told me the same thing.

Could be an option. I mean, I purposefully chose her for her personality and the fact that she was quite below me in the SMP, thinking she'd make for a great companion while I intended to focus more on my shit and get consistent tail without having to spend too much time on going out. Going on about what you said about being too high value, how to go about getting chicks then? All the chicks I talked to told me they were a bit intimidated by me before, which I always took as a compliment. I neve…

Probably. My train of thought went something like: "Damn. She left me, a really high value guy, for this loser? Literally all he's got better than I do is his damn motorbike.", albeit subconscious. I'll take what you said to heart.

Hm, I see. I'll usually resort to going to the gym, feel a thousand times better when I come out than when I went in. I'll have to wait it out right now tho, but I'll keep what you said in mind for the next time. Appreciate the reply and good luck to you too.

She added the sex like once a month(due to outside circumstances), in exchange for... me being exhausted all the time cause I spent so much time talking to her at night over the phone, and all the drama that came from little things she would get upset about. Not worth it, actually.

Indeed, first "serious" relationship. Until this one, I just kept things really light and, was it to go tits up, I wasnt ever really invested. Got bored of it and gave this one a try. I was RP-aware from the start, knew what could happen and what would probably end up happening, and kept the fact that we initially started hanging out behind her then boyfriend(she didnt tell me until way later) in the back of my mind, telling myself to not get attached under any circumstance, cause I knew it'd co…

Made different posts to try and understand it from different angles. Looking back on them, I can sort of trace the 'evolution' of my mindset, each getting clearer with every bit and piece of advice I've been given, 'sifting' through what is or isn't a proper way to go and to have gone about it. The simple lack of people around me not engorging in videogames or booze who might have experienced similar situations AND be open to talking about this also contribute into me posting as frequently. Repo…

Get your testosterone levels checked. Do some research on it beforehand. Try switching studying environments. I am way more productive when I am in a room I associate mentally with work. Check CGP Grey's video on lockdown productivity. Helped me during these times.

Partly, true. Put a dent in my ego with that breakup. Might aswell get something out of my wasted time in the form of "leads", if nothing else, and the fact that they're friends just comes as a bonus.

Not really, usually ask a question on reddit in regards to any small matter that comes up, such as what color socks I should choose each morning. You know, the sorts. Just asked about your opinion on this particular situation and wether it would be pointless or not. Takes you about a minute to read and just as long to reply.

Read the sidebar. You're the prize, remember? It's her duty to keep the relationship intact. (If you slept with her already, that is. Otherwise you're just cucking yourself.)

While you must figure out what you like the most, Dave Chapelle would be a good place to start. Comedy Central has a lot of full shows from a lot of less known comedians, which can be really good too. You'll start to pick up on the way they say things to make them funny, maybe even structures of the jokes, hell, you can even incorporate some of their jokes in your game, although you have to tweak them to fit the specific context. Develop your taste, go with what you find funny aswell, although t…

If you're so worried about your humor, go watch some stand-up shows on YouTube. Maybe not Ricky Gervais if you're not looking for offensive jokes :)) This is just another aspect of you you can improve.

And what does "succumbing to your emotions" mean? What I understood from it is that even though you feel anger, for example, you should not act in an angry manner, but rather place it on the backburner as much as possible and still be 'rational' in what you say and what you do. This proved to be not the most optimal thing to do in my case (could be just an isolated case with this particular girl), since she's been slightly stuck on her ex throughout the entire relationship, ex which, as mentione…

If you bothered to reply to this post after so long, you could've taken one sweet extra minute to read at least some of the comments instead of just being a prick about it.

Hm, although I did it from a frame of not really giving a damn about it anymore, should've just kept my mouth shut this time. By the same token, if I slip some reference to me not being really faithful(cheated on ex-ltr a couple times myself, just didnt get caught) would that work FOR me or would it make me just come off as an asshole?
/r/askTRP28/10/20 09:48 PM

So you're telling me if she would've caught me cheating and broke things off because of that, I would've been better off?

Happened a few weeks ago, she happend to ask about it. Not really hung up on it anymore, even wished EX well now that she's sick, have no hard feelings, just said it was a bit rude from her.
/r/askTRP28/10/20 06:13 PM

Dont care about her in particular, but prospects from her friend group and now sorta on the fence wether or not it was an absolutely stellar move by me. But you're right, could've flat out not even mention it.
/r/askTRP28/10/20 06:09 PM
-1

Nonchalantly mentioned it, quite over it myself. Showed a lot of preselection during the time we hung out, talked to other chicks, telling her about the modelling I do and the girls there, told her I was seeing someone after we hung out, etc. Might not be that bad after all.
/r/askTRP28/10/20 06:04 PM
1

Got no business with this one in particular, absolutely nothing besides sorta friends. Aloofly mentioned I wish EX well, no hard feeling, just that it was a bit rude tbh. Pretty over it, even told her I was going on a date after we hung out, so this might counteract the "confession" and in turn draw more attention on me if she does tell others about it. Might not be that bad after all.
/r/askTRP28/10/20 05:57 PM
-8

See her as nothing else than a friend (wouldnt even fuck) and she asked about it, so I made a brief mention of it after she asked about it, since she sort of knew about some of it already.
/r/askTRP28/10/20 05:51 PM

Shit then. Did it in a really nonchalant and aloof manner, so it might not be that bad. I'll make sure to keep it to myself next time.
/r/askTRP28/10/20 05:34 PM
5

To what extent would it have that effect?
/r/askTRP28/10/20 05:22 PM
1

DT, but still a little emotional bitch when she left him previously, and constantly checking in on her and trying to get back. The thing is that runs completely opposite to RP principles and kinda made me wonder what's going on. Though stoicism probably is the better way to go long-term.
/r/askTRP27/10/20 07:47 PM
1

I got this much, but how?
/r/askTRP26/10/20 08:32 PM
1

So then the right course of action would've been to just hang up when she started talking about how terrible I am. One of the reasons I didnt do that was to not look butthurt, and so I went on with talking. Something to keep in mind next time, thank you.
/r/askTRP26/10/20 05:40 AM
1

Thought about it myself. The thing is the enormous anxiety she expressed before and the late blocking and unfollowing on every platform, suggesting she was still thinking about the situation way after. She'd want to keep me around after she's done with the CC were that the case. I dont know tho, I suppose it better to just assume that happened.
/r/askTRP25/10/20 11:04 PM

You're right, way too hung up on this. Opened my eyes a bit. Oughta keep going, meeting new bitches, being on my path. Thank you.

Ought to do so now, had enough of the bullshit. Thanks brother.

She said I crossed her boundary, and she was sick of me ignoring her like this. Said "alright, I understand" and we broke things off. Well, since we broke up, cut all contact. If she decides to come around and I still have a spot for her, I'll see about her present next year. Till then, good riddance I suppose.
/r/askTRP17/10/20 12:08 PM

Thanks brother. What about when we bump into eachother? Should I keep it to like an distant acquaintance type of interaction or should I just ignore completely?
/r/askTRP13/10/20 04:38 PM

Actually didn't do too bad then. Havent ever told her explicitly "I love you", but it was a variation of what you said. Waited for her to calm down. Told her "Hey, dont mean to hurt you. Never did. Just trying to get everything to be alright. Here if you wanna talk to me. Just know I care for you. If you think I dont, think of all the good memories and the stuff we did together. Why do I enjoy spending time with you? I dont know, its just something I feel, and thats on me".

Anything to do about it now?

Thought maybe it'll get across to her for once. And if there's one time I could try, might aswell be her birthday. Didnt expect anything in return honestly. She gave me a nice gift on my BD, thought I'd return the favour, just as a nice gesture, considering I wont even be able to be there.
/r/askTRP07/10/20 09:13 PM

Might've not been the clearest in what I meant. We are exclusive, although I definitely see it as holding me back of sorts. My issue is not with her ex or any other dude she might be texting. I feel like im making this sacrifice for no reason if she's cheating, meanwhile I could be getting other chicks. Think I got #3 down, but what im saying is she was pretty aloof during and after it, which is very unlike her, hence my question of wether or not this might be a sign of guilt of her cheating on …

Tought about it myself. They have a lot of courses in common, so he tries to rub it in with every chance he gets that she's horrible for "leaving him for me". Not really a factor for me, he's too much of a pussy begging her to come back. She doesnt really bring him up, just feels a bit down after interactions with him. Right now I just dont know how to act about it. Do I keep asking her about whats happening ,do I just withdraw attention or even possibly demote?

Thats the thing. Not the first time we had this talk. We go out like 3 times a week, talk on the phone almost each night, I've been purposefully adding more verbal validation that she asked for over the last couple of weeks, and just the fact that she said yesterday that "You still dont give me enough attention, basically nothing has changed" made me go "Ah, okay then, let it be then" and turned off my phone. I'll be sure to emphasize calm and clear communication. I honestly dont mind talking ab…

Been hitting the gym for 2 years now, with a break because of the lockdown. Achieved a decent physique by now, not bodybuilder-level by any means, but slowly grinding towards that. Solid advice nonetheless.

Indeed, should've stuck to the basic procedure looking back. Always did that till now, always worked. Just thought that since its always the same 'issue', might aswell try this. Solid advice tho.

You're pretty much right. We talked on pretty much the daily for a couple hours at least. Canceled the date we were supposed to go on today. Got a 'K' as a response and I wont initiate any form of contact until she does so. Ought to make her think about it a bit.
/r/askTRP29/06/20 03:45 PM

Giving her some time to chill now. Cancelled it and see where that takes it. So far got a 'K' as a response which is pretty funny. The fact that I dont take her serious enough was her main point yesterday...
/r/askTRP29/06/20 03:41 PM

Hmm, I see.. A swift and to the point "Wont make it today" should work just fine. Upon further question i should just be upfront, right? Other than that, I cant argue with your reasoning. Thank you. Edit: typo
