I'm in the same boat as you. Go to a retail store and just conversate with the salesmen. Go to the pool. Go to a yogurt place and meet a chick then invite her to the pool. Get some weed and smoke people out for free. These things have helped me network pretty well in the past few months.

Why did you ask if she was seeing anyone? That's very passive behavior. If you like someone go for it don't stall.
