Whoopi says "don't hit anyone", the one on the right says "That's victim blaming!" Uhm, counselor? I believe you've mispronounced "assailant".

Not quite. I'm a staunch believer in CICO for weight loss, weight management and muscle development (along with macros, etc) but a friend of mine was recently put on steroids and some other medications and gained 45 pounds in less than 3 months. He also watches his calories so we know it's primarily water weight but he's still puffy just about everywhere, it's affecting his heart and lungs, stamina, etc. The doctor is tapering him off the steroids hoping to get the weight under control but unfor…

Lately I've been hearing "people experiencing homelessness". Which sounds like a long winded way of saying the same damn thing.

Is that copypasta? Because I don't want to eat beef from geriatric cows, thanks.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/09/22 06:34 PM

That's astonishing. Nearly 700,000 downvotes and >500 awards.

Agreed. When feminists were fighting for women's right to vote, hold jobs, acquire mortgages, own businesses, etc. That was 100% justified and valuable. Over time, like so many other movements (like "men's rights", sigh) it's been twisted by the extremists into something it was never meant to be.

Some of them ban you for subscribing to a large list of subs, this one included

Not to mention gender/sex is such a broad category. To flip his analogy a bit; if Ronda Rousey (or really almost any female professional fighter) came at me I'm fucking toast whether I defend myself or not. Does that mean if I successfully (accidentally) land a right hook across Ronda's chin I should go to jail?

Much like most other subs, really.

If that's the case why not simply remove the post and give a reason/warning? Hell, even a short temp ban (like 3-7 days) as a shot across the bow to get the point across? Posting a 'popular' opinion in an unpopular opinion sub (entirely subjective, I might add) doesn't sound like a bad faith move.

I'm curious - what did the signs say?
/r/PussyPassDenied16/07/22 05:04 AM

He can't seem to explain why, exactly, this is considered common courtesy, common decency or the right thing to do only that he believes it. There's no reflection happening here, no metacognition, just someone repeating what they've been taught since they could stand.

Why is it the correct thing to do? I know it's been done for decades, centuries even, and that's not what I'm asking - why should it be done?
/r/PussyPassDenied30/05/22 12:43 PM

Yeah, but if you make reference to a woman being bald Will Smith will slap the shit out of you.

That seems to be where this sub has been heading lately. Oh look, something bad happened to a woman/group of women! Let's post about it on PPD! Sigh.

That's because they were written to be female led. They weren't male led movies with women shoehorned into the leading roles. Sex and the city would be an absolute flop with 4 leading men. Why do studios think they can do it the other way around? Just write and release movies intended for their actual cast and quit trying to force this tripe down our throats.

A few people have run analyses of that sub comparing the results where the protagonist is male versus female. Such a hilariously Reddit thing to happen. 🤣

Looks like she earned about $20M for the three movies while Tobey earned more like $36M but he also negotiated scale on the two sequels (2.5% for #2 and 7.5% for #3) which was quite probably worth more than his salary. But again let's not forget that he played the titular character - the literal hero - and she played his love interest. I haven't looked but I bet Spider Man was paid less than Iron Man in the Avengers movies! Wonder why that would be? Because Spider Man is a woman and therefore pa…

Yeah, $200-300 with an escort guarantees she'll put out and you don't have to talk about her day. As Charlie Sheen famously put it; "I don't pay women for sex, I pay them to leave when I'm done."

"There aren't enough women CEOs" My mother had two things she'd lament about, usually on different days but both of them often; There aren't enough women CEOs! Who wants to work for a woman? 🤔

Moderation around here seems pretty tight so that shouldn't be an issue. If the sub faces a brigade like that I'd be willing to step in to assist until things cool down.

Yeah but the back seats are usually vinyl and the floors rubber - they're meant to be hosed out if people spew bodily fluids back there.

Gun safety has two very prominent hallmarks; Every gun is loaded, Only ever point a gun at anything you want to destroy. She failed at both counts. "Accidental" discharge should only ever be into the ground or into the distance - never at a person's head.

Last person who used that word on me was here on Reddit. I had no indication I was talking with a woman - the username was perfectly ambiguous and even then usernames don't necessarily even represent anything close to reality. We disagreed about something and suddenly everything I say is invalid because I'm "mansplaining" to her and therefore don't have valid thoughts or input. Going forward the word "mansplain" will be treated basically the same as Godwin's Law and serve to end the conversation…

The response above perfectly sums it up - there are a large, unknown number of men around the world who are raising children as their own who have no idea there could be another possibility. Ergo they wouldn't get paternity tests so their figures would not be included in those statistics.

It's not really that common according to stats. Correct me if I'm wrong but that would only apply to known cases, yes? How many men in North America or around the world are acting fathers to children they don't realize aren't theirs?
