1	Electrical Engineering If you're focused on software, degrees aren't as important if you have the discipline to teach yourself and take on hobby projects to demonstrate your skills. You don't have to be a nerd to do well in EE. I go to a large school in the South, so we have a lot of "Good 'Ole Boys.". Dip cans, camo hats, and boots sum them up and they do just fine in our "nerdy" major. All it takes is hard work, smart work, and GOING TO CLASS, lol!	/r/askTRP	22/12/16 07:18 PM
2	Electrical Engineering I'm a senior EE student who has seen many classmates drop out and switch majors, so perhaps my input is relevant. TLDR: It's HARD! Do it only if you love it! Like other users have said it is both a broad and challenging field. Unless you are some kind of savant, you WILL have to study HARD to make it. If you enjoy it, it can be a very rewarding experience, but doing it just for the money will be an exercise in masochism.
