That's seriously messed up, especially since that's simply not normal behavior for a first grade girl. That behavior should be a huge red flag that someone is grooming her to accept sexual abuse. Since the principal and faculty are willing to ignore it, that's something that needs to be pushed up not to the district level, but to the Child Protective Services level.

I'm a pacifist, and invested in staying alive as long as possible. So yes, at that point I would move. I'd rather be a refugee than risk killing or dying. In the unlikely event that I decided to participate in a war, I would find it far more moral to attack the people leading the army rather than the people actually on the front lines.

There are plenty of 16 year old girls whose 19 year old boyfriends get locked up even though they don't want to press charges. Ultimately, "The Victim will/won't press charges" is a phrase that holds a lot less power than it sounds like, in the end it merely means that they're willing/unwilling to testify. Prosecutors can prosecute if the victim doesn't press charges, and prosecutors can decide to not prosecute regardless of how hard the victim presses.

Even if this poll is completely reliable, there's no context. How many college-age students would commit murder if they were certain they wouldn't get caught?
