I'm a sexual assault counselor... I really think you should write your prof an email with some stats about male victimization if you feel like she doesn't understand it. Even better would be to bring those stats up in class if you get the chance, so you can educate even more people. Maybe if you don't think this will come up again, an email to the prof could make it happen. Best of luck

No hospital that I have ever talked to does mass spec or gas chromo tests for drugs during or after forensic or "wellness" exams...so I highly doubt they actually know who's been drugged.

Which is worse? Option 1: Telling people that your product will stop drug-facilitated rapes and making lots of money off their fear. Option 2: Being honest and telling people that your product won't be very effective bc it will only tests for 3 drugs (one of which is very uncommon in the US and Canada b/c it has been banned for years) and don't make very much money. These are the choices. Hype up a product and don't inform people of it's very problematic limits, or don't get paid.

so they use lowered standards for proof and don't give the accused their law-given rights to due process. They use the same standard of proof as all civil courts...do you think those are invalid too? Also, please point out to me where it says that all college students have due process rights...in my law classes I was taught about how the Constitution did not apply these to private companies. I'm not disagreeing with you that these are often kangaroo courts, but you gotta get your facts straight …
