So you’re saying that someone who goes out and buys a gun with the intention of murdering someone, and spends days/weeks planning the event with malice should be punished the same way someone who put themselves in a terrible position and made awful choices? Seems skewed to me. Edit: I still think DD is a terrible thing and must be punished, however true murderers that kill in cold blood are worse imo.
